And I confirm I used the last 0.6.9 nightly to build and save OCLP on my external disk, boot from it and apply the post-install patches using the same OCLP nightly.
Thanks for your support.
Then it sounds like you have a real case. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

So, is anyone going to try the official release of Sonoma today? and if so, let us know how it's running.
It is the same build as RC2, it is working as it should, some applications may need updating, especially banking applications.

Office 2021 working
Apple Apps working

MacOS Sonoma 14.0 Official, released today, is working on my Mac Pro 4,1>5,1 under OCLP 0.6.9 nightly version from today.

I did OTA upgrade from latest Sonoma beta version. It was about 35 min process
No preview issues. BT doesn't work, of course.

Anyone having a flicking screen after login? I saw someone else posted this problem. I was on RC1 no problem, seems like this started on RC2 23A344 on my 2012 iMac. Not using an external display, this problem is happening on the built in display. Once it starts, it's unusable and I have to restart only for it to start happening again soon after. Maybe the display timings were tweaked?

Sonoma´s currently installing on my MBP 2015. Took over 1,5 h to download, there are now 28 min left according to the installer.

I got the installer from Mr Macintosh's website I had it in about 2 minutes. I have a gigabit connection though.
I copied the link in OCLP and downloaded it directly from Apple's server, I prefer knowing the source is definitely genuine. Also I only have 1/10 of your connection...

Currently installing Sonoma 23A344 on a reformatted 1Tb SSD with a backed-up Data partition (using 'SuperDuper') from my Ventura SSD. I have done the updates this way since first trying out the Sonoma betas.

When completed I will edit this post with an update.

EDITED:

Screenshot 2023-09-26 at 11.59.33 AM.png

Installed with the latest (nightly 0.6.9) OC Patcher.
All the apps I use regularly work smoothly and fast.

But... my original Bluetooth has stopped working. It was working fine with the same OC Patcher with Ventura 13.5.2. unless anyone has a suggestion I'll wait until the Release 1.0 patcher in a few days time.

Sonoma is now successfully installed on my test MBP with the latest OCLP 0.6.9n. So far I have to say it's pretty smooth, some little delay here and there and a not perfectly smooth transition from the screensaver to the desktop is noticeable, but it's far better than on my 2013 MBP I tested the beta on. Over all a good experience I would say, many thanks to the OCLP team!

@air.man Still thinking about your Wi-Fi patching issue. When you run OCLP post-install patcher, do you see Wireless in the items to be patched? Also, could you please post your OC config.plist (the config.plist generated by OCLP when you "Build and Install Open Core")? Thanks.

EDIT: Flawless upgrade to Sonoma 14.0 (Release) on MBP6,2. Patched with OCLP 0.6.9 09.26.23 build.

Yes, Modern Wireless is in the list of patches with Terascale2, Intel HD3000 and keyboard backlight. Here is my config.plist.

@air.man What are these items in your config.plist. Did you add these?

@air.man Also, why did you change csr-active-config (SIP) to <6F08>? Did you test with the OCLP default to see if that works?

Not by me...
Ok. Is OCLP detecting your Mac as MBP8,2?

I see MBP8,2 in your config.plist, so OCLP is properly detecting your Mac. I am stumped. I generated an OC EFI for MBP8,2 and I get the attached config.plist. Maybe you can diff and figure out why the difference.

EDIT: @air.man I'm generating an OC EFI for your MBP8,2 on a Mac that is not an MBP8,2. The only thing that I can think of to explain the differences in my config.plist vs. yours is that OCLP is detecting some things on your MBP8,2 during the "Build and Install Open Core" process.

Other than the differences that I listed, I don't see anything wrong with your config. I don't know what it could be.

Big news on Mr Mac's site for folks like me who are waiting until OCLP 0.6.9 drops, though it will actually be renumbered to OCLP 1.0.0

Spoiler, October 2nd is the current planned date:

Do you know, more or less, when it will be released? October the 2nd sounds good for you? Waiting, like you. Thnx.
