I have actually never had problems with apps that have deep iCloud integration, like photos or notes. I'm currently using Catalina as my main system, everything works as it should, no problems at all. I also have an iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.3 (no downgrade, no jailbreak), almost all iCloud services are working there as well, like shared albums, Game Center or synced contacts across all devices (minus App Store and iTunes Store, which was sadly shut down a few months ago for iOS 6 and below).

I mean of course, Apple is trying to push users to update and refusing to let them downgrade their iPhones and iPads, but I really can't complain about how long they keep their services fully working on old OSs. Also, you can download older versions of all Apple software that requires newer versions, if you have previously downloaded them, which is enough for most normal users.
I wanted to say you can’t use last iCloud features in your new devices when you still own an old one which doesn’t support it
For example, you can’t use rich notes or iCloud shared albums if you have a Mac on catalina

That's not true. I am using the shared albums, as I specified above, even on the Mac with Catalina and on my iPhone 5 with iOS 6. Working perfectly.
I am also using some of the newer iCloud features, like Hide my email, on my newer devices, even though I have said old devices in my account.

Can anyone with MacBook Pro 2016/2017 confirm if Apple TV+, HBO Max and Disney+ work under Sonoma?

Unfortunately on my MBP 2016 I had to downgrade from Ventura because ATV+ wasn't working, HBO Max used to work like 50% of the time and Disney+ was constantly "lagging" and playing videos in like 5 fps

We don’t speak about the shared album that requires Ventura and iOS16
If you enable it on your iPhone, you will never get your photos on your Mac

Okay, that might be true. I don't have iOS 16, the newest iOS I have on my devices is 15 (on iPhone 12 Pro). I didn't know there was a "new" album sharing.

I'm not so able to navigate the IORegistryExplorer..
Look for ARPT in IORegistryExplorer and find its IOName. You are looking for Wi-Fi, not Bluetooth.

You can try this in terminal. It might provide what we need:

ioreg -l | grep ARPT | grep compatible

If the ioreg -l command returns a response in terminal, please post the response

Rely on GitHub history not file dates.
Nightlys are for people who have enough experience to manage this kind of questions…
For others it’s safer to use official release
I corrected and apologized for the mistake in post 1,155. 🤷‍♂️

According to Dortania, your Wi-Fi card is natively supported by OCLP 0.6.9. You should simply be able to patch your Mac with OCLP 0.6.9 and your Wi-Fi will work in Sonoma.
I did several times up to the latest build of today 15:49 CET, but still doesn't work. The card works flawlessly in Monterey and Ventura that is my current main OS. Sonoma is installed on an external SSD.

Im having issues with using csr-active-config 03080000 on my iMac19,1, Firefox,Thunderbird and BusyCal aren't working for me.. They work fine if I use 00000000 or 67000000, but then OCLP 0.6.9 can't apply the root patches.. Anyone know a fix for this issue.. Safari works like a charm though :)

@air.man That's interesting. I don't have your Mac or Wi-Fi card, so I can't test. If you really think that OCLP 0.6.9 sonoma-development build is not detecting your pci14e4,4331 Wi-Fi, then you should continue your post on Discord to report it. Be certain that you have properly tested before you post.

Just out of curiosity, type this in terminal and post the response:

nvram 4D1FDA02-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B30102:OCLP-Version

Also, please confirm that you have created your OC EFI using "Build and Install Open Core" AND you applied post-install patches with OCLP 0.6.9.

So, is anyone going to try the official release of Sonoma today? and if so, let us know how it's running.
I am definitely going to try it today, on a MBP 2015 with the latest OCLP 0.6.9n. But currently the servers seem to be a bit stressed

@air.man See request for info in my previous post. Thx.
4D1FDA02-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B30102:OCLP-Version 0.6.9%00
And I confirm I used the last 0.6.9 nightly to build and save OCLP on my external disk, boot from it and apply the post-install patches using the same OCLP nightly.
Thanks for your support.
