I built and ran New OCLP 1.0.0 n, for using macbook pro r15' late 2013 (11,3) with macOS 14.1Beta (installed via 0.6.9n).
Kepler/Haswell WiFi and FaceTime Camera Root patch is there. And it works almast perfectly fine !! Wifi , Graphics (wallpaper, Screen Saver and Translucent UI) and Bluetooth is back. (except hanging when open dialog for editing widgets, and FaceTime Camera not work in some cases.)
Thank you for the great beautiful work !!

I have a MacBookPro9,1, for which I did the WiFi/BT card upgrade (to BCM43602) more particularly described at https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...e-here-for-unibody-mbps-and-a1342-mb.2171056/ .

According to the exchange between DeBilboa (see posts starting at post 1,428 - has iMac 27 with BCM43602 WiFi/BT card) and deeveedee (see posts 1434, 1440), this WiFi/BT card (Broadcom BCM43602) is "natively supported by Sonoma (Sonoma still has the Broadcom Wi-Fi framework for your device)", thus supposedly not requiring root patching for full wireless network functionality (thereby rendering moot deeveedee's previously expressed security concerns (see numerous posts, e.g. post 1444)).

But, when I build my OCLP install from the latest nightly (1.0.0), I still get a requirement for root patching to get wireless network functionality.

How can I build OCLP to account for fact that my modded MacBookPro9,1 has an upgraded WiFi/BT card upgrade (to BCM43602) that is "natively supported by Sonoma (Sonoma still has the Broadcom Wi-Fi framework for your device)", and thus does not require the wireless network functionality root patching?

I would like to avoid wireless network functionality root patching for my modded MacBookPro9,1.

Thanks in advance for any info.

First attemp to install it , using Migation Assistant at first boot, resulted in an unbootable system. But it´s something I was wating, never worked before.

I will try a "normal" instalation and will repport.

Well, the installation worked like a charm. And I must say, it´s a long time that I don´t say this, Sonoma deginitely runs much smoother that in Monterey, at leat at my my Mac Pro 5,1.

Nice job, Team OCLP.

14.0 running on my cMP3,1 (Kepler GPU), cMP5,1 (AMD non-metal GPU), MacBook 7,1 (C2D with Nvidia Tesla non-metal GPU), MacBook Pro 9,2 (HD4000 metal).
Further tests ongoing, while waiting happily for official OCLP 1.0.0 release ;-)

Accra, Ghana.
Good morning all, from Accra, Ghana. I downloaded OCLP 1.0 and tried to create a USB installer, using a previously downloaded Install macOS Sonoma app (which, curiously, shows build 23A343 not 344). The USB is a 256 gb SanDisk USB3.1, which has been working flawlessly. The installer is created, but I cannot start from it - all I get the dreaded "Forbidden" sign, after using the Alt-key to select the USB. The laptop is a MBP11,4 (2015, 16Gb RAM, etc); right now it is running macOS Ventura 13.6, installed the same way. Any suggestions on how to go? Should I use the 'Create macOS installer, and let it download its own installer instead of using existing installer (as I did)? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When you are attempting this, are you alt-booting from the USB OCLP EFI and does it have the OCLP EFI on it? You should see it during alt-boot.

Yes, I do see the OCLP EFI, and I select that first before starting.

EDIT: I am repeating the process of creating the installer USB.
It worked! Beats me what I did differently.

Been workin for a couple hours in my Mac Pro 5,1, Sonoma 1.0.0 OCLP, and migrated from a full Monterey system.

I just can´t believe how nice it´s working everything. What a great job. I cán´t think of how many hours have been employed here. 🤯

I wanted to find out, if the OpenCore 1.0.0 binary I downloaded from Github this morning is the final? When I downloaded it, it wasn't listed under the public releases yet. I got it from the same link I had been getting the nightlies. Updated both Ventura and Sonomal installs and all seem to be working well.

Patience is a virtue... 🤣 it was 6:48 AM North America ET when you posted that. True, it is October 2nd so it might well hit today, or it might not. The final decision to GA-release s/w is seldom made before at least two or more cups of coffee.

I was really going by how Apple does their RC vs the public release. Many times the RC is the final release and those using it just have it before the public. So because this is an Apple specific project, I was mainly curious if they do things the same way.
