Here's the problem I'm having updating to 15.5.

Have the latest OCLP 2.4. already installed.

I then tried upgrading from 15.4.1 and right at the end of the completion of the download it gives me a download error timed out.

I then switched from WiFi to Ethernet and has a direct connection.

Same thing?

I do not want to do a full reinstall, and just the upgrade.

Any suggestions?

Download the full installer by using OCLP to create a usb stick install from there or download the full installer from mrmacintosh.com.

Hello, I'm on sequoia Mac late 2013, opencore 2.4. Everything worked wonderfully until now but I'm out of wifi and ethernet. I reinstalled sequoia, I did several root patches and several root patch, nothing helps. Can you help me? Thank you.

Are you able to connect to your iPhone hotspot via USB? And/or reboot in safe mode?

If so, run everything again.

Hi, can you explain what I must doing with my iPhone, I don’t understand. Thanks a lot.
  1. Connect your iPhone to your Mac using a USB-A to Lightning cable, or USB-A to USB-C cable, depending on how new your iPhone is.
  2. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Personal Hotspot. If you don't see it I assume it's because you don't have that service on your carrier plan.
  3. If you do see it, and haven't set it up before, set up a password for accessing it, and press 'Done'.
  4. When back at the Personal Hotspot 1st screen, use the "Allow Others to Join" slider to enable access.
  5. On your Mac, go to Settings > Network.
  6. You should see an entry named "iPhone USB". Click on it and make it active.
  7. If prompted for a password, enter the password you set for it.
  8. Test whether you can reach the internet.

just wanted to report success:

Last week I installed Sequoia 15.5 on our old MBP9,2 (mid 2012, non retina, intel hd4000, new-ish ssd). My wife is happily (and heavily) using this machine mainly for Apple Mail, Safari and iWork and edits the occasional XLS-spreadsheet in LibreOffice. (no M$ installed)

In my own user account I also installed my CaptureOne v16.6 and successfully used it this weekend on an on-location photoshoot (I also tried out CO16's new AI face retouching tools, they work quite nicely...)

edit: I put in a cheap new battery 3 years ago, still good for a couple hours off the grid.
...can't believe this machine is now 13 years old!

Thank you TOM1211.

I was getting a WiFi error three times.

I was going to resort to the full installer, but I didn't want to reinstall all other programs afterwards.

(ANYHOW). I did try upgrading late at night when there is less traffic on the internet.

I went through after the forth try. :)👍

All running smooth now, thanks.

A few months ago I had a late 2013 imac and had problems with ethernet connections. I often deactivated and then reactivated, rebooted the ASUS RT66nu router, sometimes switched from Auto to Manual, usually something worked.

Hello, thank you, I did this manipulation again, by sharing the connection with my Iphone but it doesn't work. I have absolutely no network on my Mac. What to do, apart from leaving with a clean install? Please

Thanks, but no good. Another idea?

You can use the full installer to install over your current system - either as a "reinstall" of the same version or an "update" without having to wipe the drive and thus keeping all the current content.

A year or more ago I had similar networking problems on Sonoma and an earlier version of OCLP and I ended up getting around it by removing the networking profile (I.e. Ethernet) and then adding it back in again, in addition of course to resetting NVRAM and SMC.

Hi, no, nothing works
Boot USB installer media of last supported macOS version and test ethernet. If ethernet works, rebuild Sequoia OCLP USB installer media and boot from USB. If Ethernet works, you borked your previous install. Erase iMac internal storage and install clean.

I know it's too late but I really recommend spending a few bucks more on a proper NewerTech battery. I've had two instances so far of cheaper noname batteries (both ordered through Apfelkiste which to me seems more and more to be not much better than a cheap China ware dropshipping company) that inflated within less than a year...
I'd like to add iProPower. I have bought three or four for different computers during the last ten years. And they all did very well. All cheaper batteries before that didn't last long.
