I have a similar set up---11,4 Mid 2015.

Do I need to follow all what you posted? I downloaded the metal Lib and am on 2.0.1...I thought I could simply OTA, reboot, install patches and metal lib....no?
I do not know. I think there are many ways to the goal. My way works for me and probably for many others that have intel legacy metal macs. If you think it is to much work you are free to experiment.

Mu cherished 27 Imac 2012 is no longer viable. A local Apple guy with some used ones was a bit shocked when I showed him a pic of the Computer info and pointed out that Sequioa was the start-up disc, he did not know about OCLP.

He has two late 2015, 5K 27 inch Imacs for sale one is i5 3.3GHS with a 2tb Fusion drive, the other is i5 3.2GHS with a 1TB HD. I have read some negative things about fusion, and am wondering if it is a problem for OCLP. My current HD is only 250 gb's I use an SSD for Time Machine. There is not much difference in cost, but I am wondering for every day use which is the best one. Any advice will be appreciated.

OTA update 15,1 b7 went fine on my MBA7,2.
I have that config too and all good except synching of Safari favourites which I can't make work on any of my Sequoia installs on a MBA 7,2 and rMBP 10,1 with any version of Sequoia from 15.0.1 to latest betas and any version of OCLP from 2.0.2 to latest nightly. Was/is fine on Sonoma.
If you have the time and inclination, would you or anyone else care to check if that works on your 7,2 MBA or a10,1 with Sequoia please? No need for any suggestions on the regular fixes, I believe I have probably tried it all but would be good to know if it works at all for anyone on same Macs and if there is something special that can be tweaked. Many thanks.

Flawless upgrade via OTA from Sequoia 15.1 Beta 6 -> Beta 7 on my HackBookPro6,2. Patching with OCLP 2.0.2. Well done, Devs!

EDIT: Sequoia 15.1 Beta 7 is incredibly responsive on this very old hack.

You are right. Safari favorites syncing doesnˋt work.

15.1 beta 7 update went AOK. Still no bookmarks syncing however, macOS & OCLP specs are in my signature.

Anyone use Mac software RAID setting, when I using OCLP 2.1 and 15.0.1 and 2014 MacBook Pro, my USB RAID suddenly connect and disconnect repeatedly.
I think this is not new feature in MAC. Wish OCLP team members can help.

I just updated my 15" mid 2014 MBP from Sonoma to Sequoia. The root patches didn't work, so I had to clear out most of the extensions in /Library/Extensions as instructed here.

I'm not sure how long this has been the case but I just noticed it now... all of my installed apps no longer shown in the "regular" Applications folder. They are in /Volumes/1TB SN580 - Data/Applications. I installed Intel Power Gadget and that shows up in the regular /Applications folder (and not the "Data" folder).

From what I've been reading, the regular "Applications" folder in /Applications shows apps that are actually stored there (presumably actually on the "Data" volume), as well as apps that are actually stored in /System/Applications. My /Applications folder only shows the applications from /System/Applications and the newly installed Intel Power Gadget. I have to go and find all of my old applications in /Volumes/1TB SN580 - Data/Applications.

And I just got a warning from NordVPN after opening it that it's not in Applications and needs to be.

What is going on?

I created a separate thread here.

Bizarrely, Safari syncing immediately seems to work when you plug in ethernet. Back and forth between iOS devices and macOS. iCloud tabs as well as bookmarks.
Good find!
I can confirm that using ethernet makes this work here too. The iCloud tabs has worked all along but not the Safari favorites. One might guess something in OCLP might need a little love perhaps. Hopefully it can be fixed at some point.

I've got a 2011 Macbook Air 13" that I use infrequently when I'm taking meetings outside the office. I've been running Monterey on it for a while using OpenCore with no issues.

Recently I was goofing around and decided I'd try Sequoia. I upgraded to OCLP 2.02 and then did an upgrade from my Monterey install.

The install worked, the system boots and runs, albeit a bit slow. BUT if it goes to sleep when it comes back I get the screen looking for my password, enter the password, the screen goes black and then I get the screen looking for my password. The only way out of it is to reboot.

Suggestions? (other than go back to Monterey that is)
