Thanks for mentioning the version you are using. The version you are using is beta so I tried installing that too. I deleted the existing Dropbox app:

rm -rf ~/Dropbox
rm -rf ~/.dropbox
rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Dropbox
rm -rf ~/Library/DropboxHelperTools
rm -rf /Library/DropboxHelperTools

And downloaded the offline beta installer from here:

The installer did crash a few times initially, but I was eventually able to complete the installation, and that resolved the problem.
I tried this with the latest beta offline installer and it continues to crash at startup for me. I have opted out of the file provider upgrade.

Thank you - following the steps you listed allowed me to re-install using the latest beta, and it's working now :)

Thanks for this! It works now!

Soundsource is working for me
I was wondering about this, seeing as Rogue Amoeba finally got Apple to provide an API for it. It's like the first app I install on any Mac I want to use for more than 5 minutes, would be awesome if it works with 26.

Here's Rogue Amoeba's status page where they confirm that all their apps apparently run though they recommend staying on Sequoia for now.

Can anyone try Ableton 12?

deleted, figured out how to edit the first post. Interesting tidbit though, had to change to light mode to be able to see the listings.

Steam is a mess. It seems to start, but most games don’t. When they do start, they disappear. I think Steam does something to keep track of the games with the overlay, or the new Game Centre is messing with it. The games that start and disappear are still running according to Steam, and there’s no crash report.

When I started a game, it didn’t open the Game Centre “games.app”. It did seem to know what games (or at least some) I tried to open, as it suggested “continue playing”. I was trying to figure out if it was the game mode that did it, but even when not going fullscreen, the game just disappeared.

When I look at the activity monitor while the game is running, the game’s logo is there, but the process name isn’t. Of the game I tested, Rogue Trader seems to run. However, if you normally exit, Steam doesn’t seem to be aware of this and tells you it’s running.

According to Door Kickers 2 and Victoria 3, the games can’t find or communicate with Steam.

For some reason most of the apps do not show up if you are running dark mode unless you click and drag to reveal them. I believe I fixed that by using the same formatting the first part of the post does. I also added the following apps under working:

Notion, Scrivener, Google Chrome, Figma, Pixelsmash, Battle.Net launcher, World of Warcraft

Super specific app, but if anyone has tried gaming on Lies of P through steam? I know OP theorized its the games individually, not steam, that determines if it works or not and I'm wondering if anyone has given it a shot!

White text on a white background…

Then something is wrong with the formatting as a whole since the alternative is dark text on dark background... I tried to find the Sequoia version of this thread for comparison as it didn't have the same formatting issues, but the site search is less than optimal.
