I am having the same issue, but I did just discover something kinda weird while updating some of the staple Mac apps via CleanMyMac X. Apparently My Pages, Keyword, Garageband, and possibly a couple others were updated to a MacOS Big Sur compatable versions that were not backwards compatible with Catalina. I was prompted that I had to download older versions of those apps. This was after I downloaded the entire 12GB+ Big Sur and began installing before it ultimately failed like most others who tied to update their macOS today. I'm not a Mac expert or a developer by any means, but I did think it could be worth looking into by someone who knows more about how all this stuff works if the cause of this Big Sur installation failure is not yet identified.

Working! I'll be back when update is finished.

I guess I'll try again in an hour... Hopefully Big Sur isn't as buggy as this release lol

Just a heads up.. Changing the DNS doesn't help either.. Since it could be a slow roll out or something.. Something quick to try

define software update? From the apple logo, or from app store?

Im still getting errors.
Sys Preferences.

I did start downloading via the CDN link, but then checked Software Update again, and it started working, so cancelled the CDN download.

So, has anyone been able to download and install? I haven’t tried in the past few hours.
I've just pressed the button two min ago. And for the first time, it's starting the download. Says only 2 hours remaining, so fingers crossed the installation will go well.

No, it's not working. Just called Apple Support and they confirmed that they're having server issues with NO ETA.

I guess it takes time to propagate over their various servers. It took me 19 mins to download it.

This is the exact same link whether downloading from Canada or Ireland. So I guess it's probably the same version. So my guess is that they are geoblocking the URL based on your IP.
