I have search and tried every possible option ,
From turning off power nap,
to restting NVRM, SVC and every command line option for tuning off hibernate, and numerous other options.
Nothing works, My macbook pro 13 2017, was perfectly working fine on previous OS until I upgraded to Catalina 10.15.4
Just hope they've actually done some useful work and not concentrated on all the superfluous crapps.Prior to 10.15.5, I have never had this issue but once it was installed, I had numerous bugs ranging from glitches in True Tone, night shift, and resetting when put to sleep. Hoping 10.16 reverses the damage done by 10.15.
Mine is 16" MacBook pro and before I updated to 10.15.5, I did not have this issue. Now I have it .
exactly the Same! Every time!In my case the kernel panic occured much less on 10.15.3/4. Now on 10.15.5 it happens after every transition to sleep ? Also did an smc and nvram/pram reset. Didn't help...

Actually I am mirroring it and the problem is still here.In anger I tried one more thing and I am till now not able to reproduce the issue anymore.
Try to mirror your Screen instead of extending it (display options). I had no crashes till now.

yeah..
YeahDid you also disable power nap?
I am direct using a type-c cable to connect to monitor, I have tries that but still...How do you connect your MBP to the external display? Are u using a dock, or just a direct cable? I would also try to reset the SMC - after that, set your screen to mirror mode and then try again. This is obiously a software issue and no hardware related problem.
Yeah

I tried to disable switching the graphic card and I EVEN reinstall my macOS. I have tried many methods and it drives me crazy. Thanks a lot for letting me know about your situation. So, now you don't have this issue after did these, right? Can you please also try to disable automatic switching of graphic modes while testing?

I tried several times when not using an external monitor, and there is not KP. Now I am using mirroring and turn off the power nap. Let me try one more time and come back to you.I only have one external monitor and the key point for me was activating mirror mode. I am also not completely sure if it is a 100% functional work around but since yesterday I had no KP. Do you also have KP while not using any external devices?
