Audiobook's was automatically transferred from iTunes to Books and they stayed authorised through Audible. Syncing within Finder is working just like syncing in iTunes. But it do lack a progress bar which is awkward, most likely being added in a later BETA.

Thanks! Been wondering about audiobooks. Anything will be an improvement to the absolute bugginess that they were in iTunes.

For Sidecar, there was a rumor that it is not the iPad to blame, you need to got a Mac after 2016. So has anyone got Sidecar with a Mac before 2016?

Still cant output my Macbooks audio to stereo homepods this is silly come on apple

My purchased TV shows are not showing up in the Apple TV app, movies appear just fine though. Have signed out/in, reauthorised, etc

Anyone else see similar issues of missing content?

Suddenly not seeing my iTunes library and no connected iPhones will load in Finder despite restarts and reconnects. Buggy as all hell, stay away.

EDIT: iTunes library is just slow to load as noted in the release notes. Takes up to 10 minutes. :/

After the early morning outage yesterday my entire iCloud Music library is missing and at times cannot stream any music. Unfortunately you're not alone!

UPDATE: Signout out of Apple Music and deauthorizing computer then restarting iMac and logging back in to Apple Music and reauthorizing computer seems to have resolved it.

I have bug with the dynamic Catalina wallpaper. Even though it is set to Automatic (so should change throughout the day) it always appears dark.

The Mojave dynamic wallpaper works fine. It is only the new Catalina one that doesn't.

Yes. Music is just good old iTunes with some features lobotomised away into other apps. The clearest evidence of this is that Preferences still have the cancel and OK buttons. Bless.
Can you right-click Music in Applications, click "View Package Contents", and see if the internal files are still named iTunes? If so, Apple simply renamed the iTunes application to Music; as in, Music is not a brand new application.

You can see a similar example within Calendar, by right-clicking, viewing package contents, and seeing some internal files still named iCal.

I discovered numerous issues, some fixable and some not.
  • Time Machine onto a network disk fails, at least for encrypted backups.
  • Desktop and Documents folders based on iCloud do not link to the actual local folders and show up blank. This is one is fixed by simply turning the cloud settings off and back on.
  • Plugging in a iDevice can cause a mangled UI to appear that can't be closed, moved, or even resized.
  • Screensavers cannot be killed and must be killed by putting the Mac to sleep first. I use ElectricSheep.
  • Trash cannot be emptied as the help application simply hangs and then crashes.
  • Numerous apps just don't work right as the UI is blank.
  • HTTPs pages cannot be viewed if they don't have a valid certificate. If they don't you can't add them to the trust store to actually view the page.
That's it for me so far.

Managed to fix it by deauthorising all my machines, siging out of Apple TV, close/reopen and sign in.

My iCloud Drive seems to be having issues. ~/Library>containers>com.apple.icloud.drive.fileprovider>Data>Library>Application Support>iCloudDrive>account-xxxxxx>session>cache>unlink has absolutely ballooned in size. Currently 75 GB and constantly growing. Soon to run out of space on my MacBook Pro.

I have tried toggling Desktop and Document sync without a fix. Multiple reboots. Can't run Time Machine cause network encrypted backup. Afraid to delete it cause of potential file loss. Can't find anything online about this specific file path.

Just discovered that git clone as well as basic commands like ls don't work in the iCloud directory. Always getting operation not permitted errors. Even with sudo.

I have noticed since updating to Catalina that I cannot get connected to any website via Safari. And the system seems to not work with internet like when trying to connect to iCloud or update the OS (checking for update). I can get into Google Chrome and it works just fine. Any ideas?

What do you mean exactly? Internet works fine for me.

I just figured it out. A broke installation of little snitch (not compatible with Catalina) was causing my internet thru the OS to be down. Uninstalled and all works great now. I was just about to do a fresh install of Mojave when I was thinking thru the issue and figured that out.

If you install an app outside of App Store, does the icon of the app reflect in Launchpad?

This was one of the major issues I faced that made me go back to Mojave.

For feedback, I felt it to be going good for a beta OS. Maybe marginally better than Mojave, animation-wise.

Just to keep this quick:
The music is synced to the iPad. No Apple Music.

Catalina beta one destroyed my iTunes library on iPad. Circles are songs unavailable for unknown reason.

Huge bugs for me with storage, both on the SSD and in iCloud, where all disk space and iCloud storage gets full, even though deleting 50+gb. Doesn't seem to free up the space. Anyone with same problem?
