Same here, and it sucks because i have a bad ass soundsystem in my bedroom (where also my workstations is) and it´s hocked up to my ATV3.

As we in Sweden would say: "Apple har skitit i det blå skåpet!" (Eng: Apple has taken a dump in the blue cabinet)

The "blue cabinet?" I am guessing that didn’t translate well?

Something I realised.

Installing any app outside of App Store does not reflect in the Launchpad. Anyone else facing this?

same here. I've tried to reset dock and launchpad and it makes my all 3rd party app icon disappear.

I have exactly same problem. I've also tried to reset launchpad and dock and It makes my all 3rd party app icon disappeared.

I don't know why, when I restore the beta by command + R and clean installation, it become two SSD on my Macbook Pro 2017.

It seems an one drive, but display in two independent drive.

O seems it is a bug at this moment.

Lost the ability to unlock my work MBP with my watch, something that was working fine on day 1. Had an issue with iCloud where it said I had to re-type my password for all services to work, but never put up a password dialog. Removed and restored the account from the Mac, which fixed the latter issue but not the first.

It is part of the new system Apple has adopted for security. It only happens at the moment with clean installs for some reason so agree I think it's a bug. However on Upgrades you still get the two and you can see them in Disk Utility.

Here is a video from WWDC to explain it.

Same problem here. Can't even download the iOS 13 beta and Xcode 11 because of this issue. Deleted time machine snapshots etc. but so far could not recover the lost space which keeps increasing.

If you have an iCloud placeholder drive in your trash, it will not empty, even though the sound plays and there's no further errors. You need to open the trash, right click the iCloud placeholder file and choose Delete Immediately.

If you're still having problems, turn off iCloud Drive in System Preferences and then turn it back on.

Created a separate volume to install this on, because I've had some bad experiences with putting it on my main Mac before. Noticed that when trying to sign in to FaceTime or iMessage for the first time, it fails.

Can confirm there is a serious issue with the Trash and/or deleting files.
  • Attempting to empty the trash results in "Can't Delete [each item in trash]".
  • When opening the trash afterwards, the items have been replaced with generic white document icons with iCloud download icons that do not work.
  • Trying to drag the items out of the trash results in "The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8058)".

Question: I'm on the Catalina beta, but I'm planning on buying a new laptop. If I wanted to restore from a time machine backup, can I do that even though the new computer will be on Mojave? Or do I need to upgrade the new laptop to the Catalina beta first?

Thanks for such information. But I don't think it is suitable for normal user. It is very confusing. Waiting for next beta to see the next result.

I get the exact same problem - I hate it when an essential part is broken!

My main issues now are Photos (New pictures are showing on all devices except Mac). In TV App there is no played status and I cannot delete individual episodes only the full main entry for the program. On my apple tv3 it does show the played status.

There's a OneDrive update in the MAS, which is listed as June 5, but I don't think that's right since I checked yesterday and there was no update. Either way, it would be good to know if this remedies the syncing problems experienced with Catalina.

You have to install Catalina first. You can not restore to an older system. With that being said, if your time machine backup is a full backup, the system will also be restored, unless you want to migrate data to a new system.

In my 27"iMac I am using for testing I can delete files without any problem

Could it be that the OneDrive still is 32-bit?
Nope, IF you could not launch the app. It just does not find his data folder, but the sync process works perfectly. If you manually put some data inside the folder it gets sync correctly

Huge bugs for me with storage, both on the SSD and in iCloud, where all disk space and iCloud storage gets full, even though deleting 50+gb. Doesn't seem to free up the space. Anyone with same problem?
Same here. I have 10.15 on a Mac mini 2018, and it has now filled every single byte of my system partition and won't even boot, because of panic loop caused by completely filled system partition. I think I'll just restore my latest backup and turn it off until beta 2 got released.

Well, they did warn thrill seekers. Catalina beta 1 has volatile underpinnings. Best stayed away unless you are a real developer who needs to make and test apps on that system.

I wonder if there's something related with the path to the OneDrive Folder.
You could try moving your OneDrive folder to a different path, perhaps try another partition or external drive. Keep the folder names in the path simple, don't use special characters.
Also, is your volume case-sensitive?
