I updated a Mac Pro 3,1 and the update went OK but Safari would not go to sites. The Onyx Automation script fixed it.

Woke up this morning to an unresponsive grey screen. Force rebooted the Mac and its running again.

iMac 24" 9,1 10.13.1

After installing/Running Automation, from Onyx v3.8.8
All my issues have been resolved. Safari, Mail, App Store and iTunes working as expected.

Thank you

Where can I download OnyX? Can I Update to macOS 10.13.1 my MacBook 5.1 and after fix the problem?

Yesterday I had reinstall macOS 10.13 because Safari, Mail, App Store and iTunes didn’t work.

You can find them in your Time Machine backup, in System/Library/Extensions.

They are named AMD*, for instance AMD10000Controller.kext
I don't have a working Time Machine Backup... Can somebody send me the drivers ? In my case (AMD HD 6870) I think it's the AMD6000 ?

Patch updater app fix my problem. There is new AMD update available.
[doublepost=1509525756][/doublepost]Firs I run Patch updater app (AMD update)
Then I run 10.13.1 update via App Store.

After boot I only get gray screen -> boot my USB-installation media and run patcher again.
Now I can login my desktop, but drivers missing.

I run all updates again via Patch updater app -> now everything is ok.

Seems that all "bugs" are still there and there is also NEW bug red/blue screen in prewiev app when you try edit pictures.
:(

The problem remains that you really don't know how much of the 10.13.2 beta update failed to apply over 10.13.1. It would be interesting to know if these failures are due to 10.13.2 still applying firmware updates or if High Sierra will always have a generic hardware check for Software Updates that will prevent us from ever cleanly applying them short of using the full installer.

If you don’t have a fully working trackpad, connect a mouse open the patch update app view installed patches right click on patch you need it and reinstall patches you need one by one and restart MacBook once done, #profit. Thank you dosdude1

I only have five. - backlight, night shift, software update, patch update and brightness. That’s all nothing for keyboard hot keys
Is your machine a MacBook5,2? If so, you should see a patch for the keyboard and trackpad.

Mid 2009 yes 5,2. Nope no keyboard patch is showing. Last time I tried booting from the usb and doing it that way, it borked my system :-/

Edit. Oddly the trackpad still works fine didn’t have to redo the patch for that

No need to reinstall.
If After updating to 10.13.1, you have Safari, iTunes, App Store and/or Mail issues,
then
Just download Onyx v3.8.8 from
https://www.titanium-software.fr/en/onyx.html

run Automation and be patient.
Worked for a few people in this thread

Just wanted to add onyx automation did the trick for fixing my issue and to thank those who posted about it.

My case: Updated to 10.13.1 Beta (17B46a) which causes safari (spinning beach ball), app store (blank), and mail to not work properly (email content wouldn't load), like as if it wasn't able to connect. I was still able to print wirelessly from the laptop these issues were on, current weather info was showing, and Id get mail notifications (just couldn't see content).

I just want to add I know my MacBook isn’t supported nor do I expect any miracles. I can get by with what I have :) I think dosdude1 has done an amazing job with getting things working for us. :) thank you for everything The keyboard I can always make due with the icons in the top for brightness and volume :-D

High Sierra latest beta (10.13.2 Beta 1 - 17C60c)

I've been testing the latest betas of HS on my MBP5,5.
I currently have 10.13.1 beta (17B46a).

AppStore is showing (1) update available. But I can't seem to download and restart my mac.

From terminal:

sudo softwareupdate -l

Software Update Tool
Finding available software
Software Update found the following new or updated software:
* macOS High Sierra Developer Beta-1
macOS High Sierra Developer Beta (1), 2978865K [recommended] [restart]
* iTunesXPatch-12.7.1
iTunes (12.7.1), 185080K [recommended]

I was thinking of downloading from an available site and using dosdude1's HS patcher to install for my unsupported mac.
Do you folks are aware of any sites I could download the beta from? Or better yet, Dosdude1, can you provide an option to your patcher to choose between the general and/or beta release?

Sorry for the long post.

Best regards and ~Mahalo~

10.13.1 is now officially out. Anyone do an in-place 10.13.1 update yet on an unsupported Mac? Hopefully we won't have to do an OS reinstall.
[doublepost=1509573133][/doublepost]iMac (24-inch, Early 2009) updated to 10.13.1 through app-store, no problems everything works just fine.

This wasn't to 10.13.2 but was to 10.13.1 (17B48) final release from 17B36a, I'll be staying at 17B48 for the foreseeable future. 10.13.2 beta 1 is a step too far at this early stage.

Help needed please. I have a MacPro 3,1 which was successfully updated to 10.13.1 HFS+ on a Samsung 850 Pro SSD in Apricorn PCiE card. Everything was running well I could never get the dosdude’s tool to convert the drive to APFS while in the Apricorn. I placed the SSD in one of the Sata slots and successfully converted the drive to APFS. I ran the post install tool while in the Sata slot, and it all worked. Booted onto 10.13.1 on APFS while in the Sata slot. I then put the SSD back into the Apricorn card and rebooted, but got an error Boot file not found, exiting. I reran the post install tool twice, once without cache rebuild and once with, but same error both times. What else can I do short of doing a clean install (which it was originally)? I do have a full backup but would prefer not to have to resort to a clean install.

After installing/Running Automation, from Onyx v3.8.8
All my issues have been resolved. Safari, Mail, App Store and iTunes working as expected.

Thank you

Can someone please give a detailed tutorial, just so we can confirm we are following the correct procedure without feeling like we are doing something incorrectly?
