For those using Final Cut Pro; has anyone been able to add custom transitions or effects? Mine are located in the correct folder ˜\Movies\Motion Templates\Transitions\, but they simply won't show up in FCPX. The templates were already there before I updated to 10.13 but since then I can no longer see them inside FCPX.

[doublepost=1500918882][/doublepost]Just installed beta 4. First aid is now working. Still unable to install VMWare beta. Can't find any bootcamp volumes...

On beta 3 and resume doesn't work at all on my mid-2014 MBP 13. On power up I get the black and white warning screen and no resume, just a cold boot.

Also I get visual artifacts in the latest Lightroom with GPU acceleration on. Not sure if this issue spans to 10.12/10.11 as I have never tried with those on this MBP.

So far beta 4 has been major regression for me (I had no major problems with Beta 3).

Banktivity 6 is now forgetting its settings when opened and needs to be pointed to the cloud sync document to create a new local file each time.

Because of the above I thought I would temporarily run Banktivity in a macOS 10.12.6 virtual machine I have already in Parallels 12. However Parallels wont't start as it claims it needs to be set to "Allow" in Settings & Privacy -> General but the option to do that is not there.

Edit: Checking the Parallels forum shows that this is widespread problem, the only known way to get Parallels to start is to enter "csrutil disable" in a terminal window whilst in recovery mode.

Banktivity is still forgetting it's current document, however if it is started via right clicking on the dock icon and then the correct file selected, it seems to be OK. Subsequent launches now pick up the correct document without having to select a particular document.

Feedback sent to Apple. Hope it's something that's fixed before the GM as I'm still not really ready to move away from Aperture, and having played with Photos in the PB that still not a great solution.

I really need to move across to Lightroom, but everytime I try it just seems such a lot of work, and I end up putting it in the too difficult/time consuming pile :D
You might want to consider Capture One Pro instead of lightroom if you're used to Aperture. I found the move easier, and Capture One's Aperture importer is far better than Adobe's.

I'm guessing that's similar to Lightroom in that it doesn't play nicely with iCloud Photos?

Doesn't appear to be anything with Aperture's file management and iCloud integration, other than Aperture. I've actually deleted my Photos library and gone back to using Aperture in the hope the import might get fixed. If not, I'll take a look at Capture One once the tears have stopped :(

Yes, as of July 22, 2017, Time Machine backups will not work if you upgraded to APFS when you installed High Sierra. There isn't exactly a fix for it, other than restoring your Mac and then re-installing High Sierra on a CLEAN INSTALL, and NOT UPGRADING TO APFS WHEN YOU INSTALL 10.13. Also make sure your Time Machine drive is formatted using HFS+

I didn't see the edit button on the very first post of this thread, so I'll just say my additions to the list here.

DOES WORK:
- HP Easy Scan (I have a HP OfficeJet 4650 printer)
- HP Utility
- MCEdit 2
- Minecraft
- Photo Date Changer by publicspace.net
- A Better Finder Attributes 6 by publicspace.net
- Loopback by Rogue Amoeba
- Audio Hijack by Rogue Amoeba
- Audacity audio editing software
- Webroot Secure Anywhere

DOES NOT WORK:
- GarageBand crashes when you open it
- LEGO Mindstorms EV3 opens and then immediately closes
- Beyond Compare 4 opens and then immediately closes
- Eclipse IDE for Java Programming on Mac opens and then immediately closes

UPDATE: Beginning in High Sierra Developer Beta 4 (17A315i) GarageBand, LEGO Mindstorms EV3, and Beyond Compare 4 now work fine. However, Eclipse still crashes immediately upon launch.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I use Leaf RSS and I've been using the public betas. While it does work, after leaving it open a while causes my Mac to completely freeze. I didn't know initially what was causing the problem so I stopped opening different apps that I leave open all the time until the problem went away. Fast forward to the latest public beta and I decided to leave it open again and leave it open to see if the problem was gone but again today my Mac hung. I've had no other hangs except when that app is left open. Has anyone left Reeder 3 open for an extended period of time, like 24 hours? I'm thinking about buying it but don't want a repeat of the problem I currently have.

After yesterday's update iPhone 7S is not connecting to iTunes. Great Apple, great!
If in fact you do have an iPhone 7S I am not surprised that iTunes does not detect it since that iPhone has not been officially released yet. In my case, my iPhone 7 Plus is detected normally in iTunes under both High Sierra DB4 and Sierra 10.12.6

Didn't read all 293 posts so sorry in advance.
On my mac mini 2011 most tumblr videos wont play. Those that do have no sound. With YouTube, the videos will play but no sound.
This is using Firefox 54.0.1 64 bit and PB3

Pulse Secure VPN software and Microsoft Remote Desktop work fine. Yay!

Which version are you running? I've had issues in the past with their newer builds and I can't find my installer for my current build if I need to revert.

5.2.5 (869)

I've downloaded 5.3r1.0 b587 but not chancing it just yet!

I need this for work and is the only app that MUST work. Otherwise I have to revert to a HP POS

Not sure if this has been reported yet but under the latest public beta, I can connect to the iPhone to the MacBook Pro and it is recognised as it starts charging but you cannot access it under iTunes to sync the device. This worked on the previous beta version. Anyone else had this issue?? I have submitted a bug report for this already :)

BTW, I tested on an external boot drive, which was a clone of my main boot drive from June which I then updated to the High Sierra beta. I wouldn't test on my primary working boot drive.
