5.2.7 (1025)
BTW, I tested on an external boot drive, which was a clone of my main boot drive from June which I then updated to the High Sierra beta. I wouldn't test on my primary working boot drive.
I installed the third public beta and deleting files doesn't free up space. Ive looked around and found a lot of people having the same issue. Anyone found a solution?
I noted my free space disappearing after installing Dev Beta 4 (which is the same as PB3). I found it to be due to a hidden folder called Cores which contained multiple dump files generated whenever a crash occurred. Each one was circa 1.7-1.9GB in size. These are useful for giving to developers to investigate but otherwise can be removed.
Might be the culprit rather than file deletion not freeing up space. YMMV.
Where is this Cores folder? root?
EDIT
Found it in root. It was empty in my case.
How to get there? And how to delete? Don't know it by TerminalWhere is this Cores folder? root?
