SoftRAID confirmed there is a beta in work, (if needed, simply email them for a copy) and the kernel panic issue has been fixed since High Sierra 8th Beta. So if anyone is interested, give them an email.
Anyone else still having problems with iCloud Photos? I've tried signing out of iCloud and back in, but it's still stuck at "Updating 12,481 items..." and only a handful of thumbnails actually download. When I try to open one of the thumbnails, it throws an "Error Downloading Photo"... Frustrating... I would have hoped these issues would be sorted out by now...
Updating and syncs are fine (4 Macs all on iCloud library) but with build 17A362a my Projects are gone. If I copy the content of the iPhoto library (resources>projects) and start Photos again the projects are immediately deleted.
3 Macs have the same problem. Mac Pro is still on beta 8 build 17a330h and the projects are still there in beta 8..
I did not notice this on beta 9 on the other Macs. All volumes are apfs/encrypted. Except the (working) Mac Pro.
Do you have a Fusion Drive formatted to APFS? Apparently there are still issues with that, so that could be my problem anyway. I'm going to have to reformat my iMac's Fusion Drive to HFS+ again and restore from Time Machine before I can test the GM, as they're preventing installation on Fusion Drives formatted to APFS...
How's Final Cut Pro X running?
mostly great (altho one crash) on my macbook pro...
What are your system specs?
2015 13" macbook pro, 3.1ghz i7, 16g ram... and the os in my sig...
Ah okay thank you..were you on an SSD drive when you updated to High Sierra ? Does it convert to APFS?
yep, ssd, converted to apfs. FCPX was really cranky in an earlier beta, but seems ok now; but have only used it a little last few weeks...
Everything else working out alright? The basics like photos, iTunes, iMessages, syncing music to your iPhone etc?
mostly great (altho one crash) on my macbook pro...
Did someone test FCPX 10.2.x ?
