But it requires SIP to be disabled permanently.

My feeling right now is that Apple are putting in so many restrictions that many people will just disable SIP and that rather destroys the point of SIP.

That's what I did.

Apps that work but are having problems
Agenda (funky UI rulers cut off first couple of columns of notes) (Beta 2 seems to fix)
Airmail 3 (white background over account names for some reason)
Arq Backup (5.12.1) - must manually add "Arq Agent" to "Application Data" category under privacy settings for Arq to be able to access some folders in the user's library folder.
Astropad Studio - Pen Pressure not working
Atom Text Editor (1.27.2)
AutoMounter - App runs fine, but if you install the helper (v1.3.2) it causes the desktop to hang. Had to go into recovery to remove the helper. Emailed the dev.
CodeKit App (launches, but interface bugs make it unusable)
Compressor (4.4.1) - Can't switch between tabs in the sidebar and therefore can't customise encoding settings. Also erroneously displays the text "ProLabel" on the About window.
DEVONthink Pro Office 2.9.17 (crashes shortly after start)
Final Cut Pro X (Rendering takes a significantly longer time in Mojave)
Hyperdock v1.7 (it took a few reboots to get working; had to manually add to Accessibility in System Preference; reports "Unsupported Operating System" when opening the config in System Preferences)
LogMeIn App works but LogMeIn Safari Plug-In no longer works
MacGo Blu-ray Player (2.17.2) - Very occasional stutter/pause - not sure if this is due to running on MacBook Pro 2016 13" TB 3.3Ghz i7, 16GB RAM from disk image on USB-C ->USB 3 external hard drive or an app issue.
Mamp Pro (4.5.0) - random freezes and beach ball at random points every little bit. Useable but annoying...
Microsoft OneDrive (runs and works, but pegs CPU usages to 100% until its quit)
OmniFocus 2.12.3 - Works fine, slight cosmetic anomaly in toolbar display which is "grayed out"
RealVNC Server - viewing is OK, but no remote control. Apple Screensharing works
Reeder (works, but crashes often)
RoyalTSX v3.3 (hangs randomly in Preferences and when trying load new documents, crashes when exiting an RDP session)
ShimoVPN (It starts up but won't connect to anything -- pptp)
SpamSieve (make sure to update to current beta before installing 10.14)
Splashtop Business (workable but very slow)
ThemeEngine - requires a little zooming in on elements to make them appear perfect in view. Can save .car files just fine.
Ulysses 2.8.3 (standalone version, pre-subscription) - works and iCloud sync is functional, but there are display anomalies in Ulysses' dark mode.
Wifi Explorer (loads and works fine, but no wifi data is displayed)
X-Plane 11: Purchased aircraft crash upon loading, built in ones work fine.
Zoom Outlook Plugin (4.3.5278) - doesn't show the plugin when creating Outlook Meetings
Lightrooom - The application crashes when trying to import from an SD card. Other functions seem to work

Apps that don't work at all
Aerial Screensaver
BetterTouchTool (see thread for update, working beta release at https://folivora.ai/blog/post/13005)
Box Drive (crashes when trying to open)
CleanMyMac 3 (they have a Mojave beta version ready, email their support on support@macpaw.com to get hands on it) (Version 3.10.0b1 appears to work and is available for download)
Cocktail
Evernote (-> Evernote 7.3 Beta 1 now works with Mojave)
Game Golf Transfer - starts when device is plugged in but then gets "USB CONNECTION LOST error
Hands Off! (3.2.7)
IBM Client Application Access
IBM Notes (Work in basic mode. To do this paste this into Terminal:
"/Applications/IBM Notes.app/Contents/MacOS/notes" -basic)
iTunes 12.6.4 (if you try to install, you just get "This software is not supported on your system.")
LastPass (App does not work. Browser plugin barely works) (10.14 B2)
LiteIcon 3.8.2
MacTracker 7.7.4 (main window loads, clicking on any device will cause app to freeze)
MailButler 2.1
Malwarebytes (3.3.22) (tries to update app, installer freezes, forces uninstall of app)
NFSManager, stops with a window unsupported OS version
OpenEmu (doesn't open at all and crashes right away)
OS X Fuse 3.80 (Will not install)
Paste 2 (crashes when copying something to the clipboard)
PIA v80 (loads, connects to VPN server but blocks all internet traffic - Mojave also throws "legacy" warning)
PowerPhotos (crashes on startup)
Sound Control
Sculptris
SQLPro Studio (launches, runs slow, then crashes and won’t reopen)
Unlox (launches and runs fine but cannot unlock via iOS counterpart, tap to unlock also broken - UPDATE: developer has released beta version with full Mojave functionality, can find info on Twitter @UnloxHelp)
VMWare Horizon Client
VirtualBox

wine is working on Mojave, so any game should be working as before.
Only issue I currently have is cursor jumping on second screen, so I have to clone display to make the game playable.

The Upside Down
Does anyone know whether Symantec Endpoint Protection works with Mojave? I know for a fact Malwarebytes does not. If I remember correctly, Symantec used to have a beta that was compatible the latest macOS beta but I'm not sure whether they have one for Mojave.

I don't want to jinx it, but it seems that the latest update to Firefox beta fixed the glitch with the URL bar not showing favorites/search suggestions. This would be version 62.0b7 (64-bit), plus my version of Mojave is 18A326h. Unfortunately I can't speak for the stable version of Firefox, but man that glitch was annoying.

OK, I jinxed it ugh. within 5-10 minutes of writing that the bug came back. I wonder if it's from having more than a certain number of tabs open?

Someone around here mentioned that Mojave or any macOS version for that matter does NOT need any virus or malware protection. Don't know if they are being facetious or kidding around. What do you serious guys think?

Thanks.

Dead serious. No. Install MalwareBytes and run it occasion. I only run it about 2-3 times per year. Never had an issue with malware or virus.

Minor update to Aperture - my earlier lack of Adjustments apparently was due to launching the previously installed version on the internal drive. After installing it afresh onto the same USB stick, it does appear to work perfectly as expected, with the caveat that it does seem to take a few seconds for the RAW adjustments panel to appear - again, that may be due to me running all of this off a fast USB stick. As such, I've updated the first post to include Aperture (3.6).

Thanks for the update. Do you know if the latest Photos App imports Aperture library?

Good news for those that have been using TotalFinder -they have released version 1.11.1 which works perfectly with Mojave. one prerequisite though - SIP has to be disabled, but I think many people have been doing that anyway.

I have!

I am not quite sure what dangers lurk out there for people that don't have it enabled.

has to be disabled to install/enable totalfinder? or disabled 'permanently' for it to run?
