Have they fixed the abomination of a System Settings app yet?
i.e. to be able to be stretched, widened etc. like every desktop window in the last few decades (rather than a frankenphoneapp imitation).

Has anyone managed to change the appearance of the “Downloads” folder in the Dock?
I changed its color and added an emoji in MacintoshHD/Users/User, but in the Dock it still shows the default blue folder.
I tried killall Dock, but it didn’t work.

Not sure if it was mentioned here, but they finally addressed the issue from macOS Sequoia where Apple Music would skip a song when using the keyboard or in app buttons to play back a song.

Ie, I play music from a playlist that contains 3 songs, starting with the 1st. I listen to the first and second song and as the third songs starts, I decide I want to hear the second song again. When I press the key on the keyboard to go back, it'll play the 1st song as if the second doesn't even exist.

Hope that description makes sense lol

Initial impressions... it's really sluggish on my M2 Pro MacBook Pro. Some animations feel like they are running at 30fps, various things feel slow to load.

Also, I was pretty hyped by the news of a redesign and I regret it now. It's not TERRIBLE, but I think I prefer Sequoia, looks-wise. That's coming from somebody who usually likes shiny new things, too.
I find it looks a little blurry everywhere. I think I'm going to downgrade back to Sequoia

Can somebody get a screenshot of Freeform sidebar? Are there any changes? Maybe they added folder structure finally?

Is Spotlight app search working for you? For me, it only works for some apps. Yes, I’ve already enabled app search in Settings.

While my Mac was asleep it logged out and after logging in this caming when starting messages. I closed it with the red button, there was still the dot under the icon when opening it for a second time and got the same login window again. The third time it got directly back to my messages.

This did not happen before when rebooting several times.

System Settings is crashing when I add TimeMachine drives to the exclusion list. Other external drives work.

Is it normal that screenshotting a window makes it darker and removes transparency? Both I posted had a white background. Also the glass effect is gone when making a screenshot of something like that and it's getting even dark without dark mode.

At least the sidebar icons and font can be made smaller. Don't know if this is even new. It now fits exatcly on my ultra-wide screen between Menu Bar and Dock

Anyone having issues with a dock disconnecting when computer sleeps. My Ivanky dock and all peripherals are gone until I reboot

Looks like something is very wrong in current beta with those huge shadows in toolbar buttons and it will be fixed, that's how finder is supposed to look as shows in wwdc videos for devs, still questionable, but much much better.
No, it only looks that way because they have table headers in table view, or when a toolbar accessory view is attached under the toolbar. Otherwise you get the crazy drop shadow buttons.

I am running Tahoe from a SSD mounted in my dock, leaving the OS in the internal SSD untouched.
So far, I am very impressed. All seems a little bit more stable than under Sequoia, especially iCloud.
As well, applications seem to open a little more snappily than under Sequoia.
