Can someone reproduce this Finder screenshot from beta 1 in beta 2 and upload the result?

you want to see if they removed those ugly shadows 😄

The dock feels more glassy.
That looks nice. I like how the icons have subtle borders also. It's like a tiny touch of skeuomorphism. edit: This is minor but the System Settings icon is a big downgrade from the one in Sequoia. Looks very flat and lifeless.

Yes 😅 that Finder screenshot looks like a new developer building a web app for the first time, going crazy with the CSS drop shadow and border radius. My guess is someone was in a huge rush to get this out for WWDC...

Wow Safari is hideous with the black bars under the tabs, they could have just made it a lighter color. And it still does nothing for me as I still have trouble knowing what tab I'm on. A single bar under the active tab, how are we not thinking of this instead of 10 black bars under the tabs.. 💀

I prefer compact tabs still.

Edit: Apparently it's a bug.

The Liquid Glass sidebar is improved - more contrast. Looks more like in WWDC now.

Music app now playing glass is also changed slightly to be a bit more contrasting to what’s below it.

Thank goodness this is a bug. I saw the black bars and thought "who the hell approved this design".

There are also teeny weeny bars under pinned tabs, which look even sillier.

it's a horrible new UI, transparency and visual effects abuse everywhere, bad choice of colors (for everything that's not translucent yet). fat toolbar & icons.. poor readability, UI elements trying to blend together making it hard to see where one another starts and ends, everything is bad. beta2 didn't help much but confirmed the poor direction apple did choose. it's a continuation, a variation in horror since bigsur. it's criminal sabotage i tell you.

the only thing that mitigate a bit this disaster is setting accessibility option 'increase contrast'.
it's still bad, but less transparency and blending widgets and other annoyances makes it a little bit better.
macOS is being forcibly mutated into cookOS and it's crap.

and FFS, someone tell apple that UIs that use transparent panels and backgrounds should not stack on top of each other. otherwise it will look like spaghetti mess, like tahoe.
what a broken design. flawed to the core, even as a concept or an idea it's bad. let alone apple's implementation. allowing transparent UI elements to be displayed stacking .... it's like .. who come up with such a dumb idea, and who says "hey that's great, this will be the new face of our OSes" to that .. seriously...

Strongly disagree.

Strongly disagree.
come on people are making fun of it everywhere.. saying it looks like windows vista and reheated poor ideas from a decade ago that were even abandonned by m$windows itself.
it's an embarassement. a major one. it's like someone telling you your house facade will now be painted in flashy pink and you can't say No. and you live there. it's pain.
