Mr. Mister said:Realistically, I'm doubting that they'll offer an X1950 XTX option. Why? Because it would be stupid for them to have two cards honestly within 5% of each other performance-wise, while not having a single midrange card. Also, I think they would have asked us before the price drop.
Right, because it's much easier for you to just take a negative tone then to see something that might be important to others.Mr. Mister said:Overall my feeling about this is "whatever".

And by the way, X1900XT's are shipping tommorow.
"Whatever" being the diametric inverse of "WAAAH I WANTED X1950 XTX AAAUGH APPLE SUX"shelterpaw said:Right, because it's much easier for you to just take a negative tone then to see something that might be important to others.
Oh, did your uncle who's chummy with Steve tell you that?macgeek2005 said:I agree.

Mr. Mister said:Only thing that pisses me off about all this is that if the GPU had been cheaper right off the bat, I could've been under the $2500 Massachusetts tax-free weekend limit and saved $140 or so in taxes. Oh well.
Thing is, I don't have any friends over the border who I can ship CTO systems to.peas said:new hampshire is tax free, all day, all night
want to guess where im going with my student discount?
topgunn said:I can't believe that Apple would drop the price on something before the first one even ships.
jansmith said:Hmmmm... been fooled once by someone who said that the upgrade kits were shipping today. Where did you get this information?
Mr. Mister said:That's really good to hear, last thing I need is to have to screw around with phone support, or somehow NEVER get my $90, or, once getting my $90, there being an X1950 XTX that people got auto-upgraded to.
Right now I think they're just going to offer the X1900 XT for less expensive prices. I really don't see an X1950 XTX in the cards, this price decrease was just to keep people from getting nasty about getting an older card for so much money.
Only thing that pisses me off about all this is that if the GPU had been cheaper right off the bat, I could've been under the $2500 Massachusetts tax-free weekend limit and saved $140 or so in taxes. Oh well.
Mr. Mister said:Can we have this be, like, a one-way bet? Where you pay me money if you're wrong?
What?dontmatter said:Can you say conflict of interest? Or maybe consolidation of corporate (and other) power in the USA?
Obviously, though, an asset to apple.
