Will this work for MacBook Pro 2011 17in A1297 that has a firmware lock on it that I forgot and I can’t boot into recovery. I have pi4 I heard it can flash eeprom/spi and I also have ch341a programmer
No. This thread is about Mac Pros, not MacBook Pros.
Anyway, with firmware protection you can’t do anything with the BootROM.
I would wait for the official release, being a beta anything could happen.
What is your hurry.....

Finally got updated to 144.0.0.0.0.
I already have Mojave running on internal SATA with APFS. Firmware wasn't updated with Vega FE. It's Metal compatible but without EFI. So, I inserted an AMD HD 7950 instead which is Metal compatible AND has EFI. And firmware update went through without problems. Now, I can do a clean Mojave install - without EFI graphics card ??.

Today's Catalina 10.15.2 DP4, build 19C56a, has the same firmwares as 10.15.2 DP2. Still the same November 1st firmwares creation date.

Apple released 10.15.2, final build is 19C57. Downloading it now.

Thanks for the head's up. Some of the bugs in the MBP16,1 specific-build are bad enough that I may actually install this within hours of release for the first time in years. Time to update the clone...

Tsialex, now that I have my Mojave USB stick ready for installing a fresh copy of 10.14.6 another problem arises:
With my RX 580 I don't see a boot screen to load Mojave installer,
and with my Radeon HD 5770 I cannot install Mojave because of Metal ?
Any suggestions?
First upgrade your BootROM to 144.0.0.0.0, after that you can install from a createinstallmedia USB key if you remove all your other bootable disks and keep just the createinstallmedia USB key and the empty disk you want to install Mojave.
