Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro Order Status

My Apple order has also fallen off my credit card. However, UPS My Choice is still showing "Shipment Ready for UPS". Order placed 5/15/2020 at 12:51 pm.

Mine turned up this afternoon! A couple first impressions for the 11” (as if y’all haven’t heard enough already):
- The reviews had me thinking that it was going to be super heavy. It is not. It’s exactly as heavy as you would think it’d be.
- I’d also heard that the hinges were super stiff, but again they make perfect sense in the context of the device.
- The farthest back tilt is pretty shallow, but it doesn’t seem too shallow, just the minimum allowable limit.
- The trackpad does feel a little cramped vertically, but it’s not ruining the experience for me. Just a little less than I’m used to.
- It is gorgeous.
- A couple of the keys are weirdly thin - namely: -/_, =/+, and ]/} (but not [/{ which is a weird asymmetry). Not a big deal, but a little weird.
- The trackpad feels great. If it’s not glass, then it’s just as good, and it clicks everywhere. A true apple trackpad.
- It can’t be opened with one hand, but it doesn’t have to be wrenched open the way my old Brydge did. It lifts up with minimal force and adjusts easily.
- I’ve heard reports of the USB-C port being especially tight, but mine feels normal. No bubbles or glue or anything else either.
All in all, I love it. Totally worth $299, especially over a brydge.

May 6 - 13 delivery date here. This wait is killing me. 😩 I shouldn’t have put off ordering so long. I’d order from Best Buy but then I wouldn’t get my employee discount from Apple. 😩
FedEx is pretty late today... I think I got something around 5:30 from them in the past though so I’m not terribly concerned. Still typing these out on the Smart Keyboard.
I ordered on launch day and mine arrived just now from Fed Ex. 12.9”. Doesn’t feel all that much heavier than the Smart Keyboard folio I’ve been using for the past 2 years. The rubber outside is darker than the old folio. Texture is ”rougher” but that might be because my old one is worn. Hopefully it doesn‘t end up looking as bad as the old one did. By my crude measurement it‘s about 2mm thicker than the old one. Side by side it’s pretty hard to tell that it’s thicker.

Of all days, I feel like my neighborhood was the last stop on UPS’s route, but it’s here! Currently typing from it and this thing is incredible! The key travel is exquisite and the quality is top-notch.
I think FedEx is gonna take the 8pm deadline to heart. I can’t remember the last time I had a package this late.
Well, we’re almost there! I’m tracking the UPS truck on “My UPS” and he’s about 1/4 mile from me! He’s been stuck at this unit for about 30 minutes. I think he must have a girlfriend there? I’m on the home stretch!!

Correct. I ordered yesterday at 11:30am, and just now got it. Apple is still “Preparing to Ship” and as of this morning the funds were put back on my card.
Mine is still stuck in the Lebanon, TN black hole, so I think I’m going to go make myself some lemon ricotta pancakes to enjoy on this rainy Friday night... it’ll get here when it gets here!
I keep checking that but I don’t think it’s updating. The truck has been in the same position on the map for 3 hours. 😕

Just arrived
Mine's still hanging out in Ontario, CA after leaving there early this morning and arriving back there 5 minutes later. 12 hours later and it's still just sitting there. Maybe I'll get it Monday? Or Tuesday? Or Wednesday? Or Thursday? Or Friday?
After an encouraging "Origin Scan" yesterday, my MKB 11" seems to be hanging out in California for a while. West of Los Angeles, I'm sure Ontario is a nice enough place.
Granted, I may have a difficult time coaxing it away from beautiful Southern California for its new home here in Mississippi. But while we have lots of problems in the South, I am a pretty cool guy! And I can assure you, Magic Keyboard, that I will provide you a safe and caring home.
Plus, my cats are very respectful of Apple devices.

Honestly Best Buy is the way to go at this point if you can. Apple kinda dropped the ball on this. I’m still Preparing to Ship right now. We’ll see when that one actually shows up.
