Hey reality check for me,
I ordered 4/15, with window of 4/24-5/1. It arrived on 4/24 but was defective. Contacted Apple about an hour after receiving it and, after speaking with one person I got a weird email about taking pictures of my damaged packaging and then texting with another who just sent me a shipping label to print, I got it back in the mail. On Sunday, I got a notice that a replacement would be shipped with a estimated delivery May 20 - May 28.
Is this normal for a defective product around launch? With Apple Stores closed at the moment I know it's different -- I think in the past if I had an immediate support issue, I've been able to just go to the store and get an immediate replacement for a defective product. Anyways, it moved up to May 12-19 (which coincides with what ordering a new one today would), but they keep telling me that it's 'prioritized to be the next one out' which is odd considering the shipping window.
Thanks in advance for the reality check - even if it's just to tell me I'm nuts.
