It’s arrived. I’m typing on it now. So far so great. It’s fabulous and transformative. Highly recommended.
Saturday would be great. Looking forward to it, but no big deal if it’s the start of next week.
I’m getting an Amazon delivery tomorrow but not sure Royal Mail work Bank Holidays?
Took delivery from AO (UK) a couple of hours ago. First essential settings adjustment is setting trackpad to “tap to click” as pressing the trackpad I can imagine gets a little annoying, it‘s also quite loud ! Now to cancel my order from Apple which wasn’t due until at least the 12th.
The 3 figure swipe works but 2 finger swipe has just stopped working? Only had it a day!
So my order shipped. I now have an arrival date of May 22nd 🤦♂️. 2 weeks after the last date of my estimate window. What on earth?!
Called Apple to ask what the hell is going on. The chap I spoke to couldn’t tell me anything. Awful customer service. I won’t be ordering directly from Apple again after this.
Lots of reasons for doing it, not least environmental, but I wonder if it‘s because you’ve got a number of items on the same order (from what you said) ?

Managed to get through to after sales who were actually more helpful. They said the AirPods have been sent from China and the date I have now been given is the latest possible delivery date. Hey ho, fingers crossed it comes before.
Nice one. Out of interest when did you get tracking information? and was it DHL? Im still waiting for a delivery date and tracking info even though everything shipped on Friday.
It was DHL, got tracking information from them yesterday and also confirmation this morning that it would arrive today.
Ordered May 1. It has been “processing” since. Hasn’t yet moved to preparing for shipping. What are they doing? Disassembling it and putting it back together again? Twelve times?
By far the worst performance yet by Apple, and I’ve ordered a ton of stuff from them. Wish they would be transparent about what is happening. Pencil 2 and iPad delivered in 3 and 4 days. Just sitting there, unpacked.

It would be nice to know what “processing” means. Manufacturing? Boxing it? Putting it in a bigger box? Out buying stamps to put on the box? Working from home? Ordering takeout (again)? Going to the bathroom?
Just be transparent and communicate, Apple. That’s what good companies do. Just ask Steve Jobs.

Mine shipped on Friday 8th but now I have no idea where my order is and when it will arrive. While I do appreciate the world is pretty bonkers right now and there are more important things going on I have found Apples customer service to be completely awful.
Of course these unprecented disruptions are a major, if not the most important factor, and this is a tiny tempest in a teacup comparatively. All I want is transparency. If Apple does not know when they can get the item to me, just tell me that.
BTW, last week Best Buy was promising they could deliver it by tomorrow, a week ahead of the range I got of May 19 to May 27. I coulda shoulda ordered it. Also, I got thru to Apple and they said it was NOT shipping from China, but from the U.S. Go figure.
I ordered on April 20th and was originally quoted May 6th - May 14th for my delivery estimate and when i spoke to apple customer service they guaranteed me that delivery would be by the 14th at the latest. When the items finally shipped the delivery date updated to May 22nd. Having spoken to them since the items shipped they have assured me delivery will be before the 22nd. We shall see....
