Bought some suits at Men's Wearhouse yesterday. They had iSC Touch 480s with the contactless symbol in the bottom left just like Best Buy does.

NFC is disabled though... but EMV is enabled, used it with my debit card.

Store Manager asked if I was trying to use Apple Pay, he said he wants to get that enabled but doesn't know how. I told him I think since they're corporately-owned, not franchised, that they're out of luck unless MW has their card processor enable NFC on the terminals. :(

Unfortunately it isn't even up to just Mens' Warehouse. It is also up to many other factors, the Merchant Service Provider, the POS System provider, and much more. And many places are still scrambling to just get EMV enabled, which is still a priority for most businesses, over Android/Apple Pay. Hopefully after the EMV mess is sorted out, businesses will start enabling NFC readers.

No, it was a generic ingenico reader. It didn't have all those graphics. It just said: Insert, Swipe, or Tap.

Interesting - I would have expected them to choose a single device and stick with it. Most other Yum! stores seem to be using Ingenico as well (except Pizza Hut, they use Verifone Vx 805).

Some Taco John's are supporting Apple Pay right now but only ones that support chip and have PAX S300 pinpads. Not sure how many have them but my local one does not yet.

Added Flying J to the list of places that have NFC disabled. (They use iSC250s, or at least the one I went to does anyway.)

Also, I went to a Sinclair in Idaho that only said "swipe card" on their MX915. Any recent datapoints from other locations? I'm not sure simply having the right terminal is enough.

Yes Flying J does indeed use Ingenico iSC250's with NCR Retalix for gas stations IIRC. Remember that all Verifone Commander places that say 'Insert or Swipe Card' or 'Swipe Card' have NFC is almost always enabled regardless if chip is or not. Even Shell Commander locations don't have any indication if its enabled or not. Gilbarco Passport locations usually do say 'Tap' though if it is enabled if its using iSC250's but wwhen the location uses MX915's it may often not even say tap either.

Well it seems Pilot/Flying J will support contactless once chip is enabled according to them two months ago on twitter: https://twitter.com/PilotFlyingJ/status/880138031692427264

OldNavy/Gap is getting contactless support that is full EMV mode contactless on their MX880's, but it seems to not be rolled out 100% yet. So if you want to use it find one on the MC contactless locator.

Interested to know if anyone with Fifth Third in Dayton Oh has used AP at BP locations. Inside store, not pumps. They have AP logo sticker on terminal and say they accept it. But, I am always declined. Not sure they even know much about it. Haven't called 5th Third yet. Haven't found a lot on-line about it locally. Never declined anywhere else.

Men's Wearhouse has iSC480s with the contactless sticker on the lower left but does not have it enabled. Chip is enabled, however, but is kinda flaky.

Im not Sure if all wawa, but the 3 wawas near me in PA takes Apple apple pay in stores now.

I found one IHOP here that has Apple Pay support. I don't think there are any others in my area considering that this particular location is the only one I've seen on the MC map. Picture of their setup below:

Well I added EntertainMART/Movie Trading Co/Vintage Stock as they use Verifone MX925 with EMV contactless on Verifone Point and CDCVM appears to be enabled there. Some Safeway locations have contactless now and all will by the end of the month. Books A Million now supports contactless now as well so that one goes to the list too. I will also add Pilot/Flying J once more locations do support contactless as currently as it is not widely enabled just yet.

They rebuilt the Circle K/Shell station around the corner from me - the new pumps have the Verifone NFC panels, but any card read leads to a prompt for a zip code and then gets declined (tried with a Discover, Amex, and MasterCard) - I'm guessing it just isn't set up yet or intentionally broken.

Radiant which Circle K/Shell uses is setup to not support contactless inside or outside yet but Shell does support contactless at some Commander locations. I'm sure it will eventually it will work maybe once chip is enabled through a software update. Usually Radiant usually supports contactless but it has to be configured correctly to work.

Well it seems Pilot/Flying J has rolled out chip and thus contactless more widely now so I added it to accepted. A location which was swipe only a month ago now does everything.

Bob Evans in Beavercreek Ohio now takes AP. Haven't tried at any other restaurants in the area yet.

Terminal has no Wifi symbol. Or, any other indication that they do NFC.
