updated my test cMP (2012) from a dosdude 10.15.3 installation
now under OC 0.5.6 with VMM on and off only in the config.
and no problems with audio or bluetooth (upgraded with BCM943602CDP).

I've read through this entire thread and am just more confused than ever.... does anyone have a step by step on how to install Windows alongside MacOS with OC enabled? I know that legacy mode is not supported. I've been trying to install via EFI and I just keep getting the partition errors that others have spoken about one I boot into the windows installation DVD. I cant for the life of me figure it out.

Windows DVD based installs are always CSM/legacy. You can only do UEFI installs via USB.

What I notice after I upgraded to 10.15.4 and when I went back into Mac OS Mojave desktop I saw that the Mac OS Catalina disk was split into two disks and they where Macintosh HD and Macintosh HD data. When running Mac OS 10.15.3 and when I went back into the Mac OS Mojave Desktop the Mac OS Catalina disk only shows one Mac OS Catalina hard disk in my case is Macintosh HD.

It always shows 2 drives in Mojave, unless your cMP didn't mount them properly. It's like that since 10.15.0 beta. Not new for 10.15.4, and not related to OpenCore.

I got a really weird behavior with my MVC flashed RX-580. I have the same one with the original vbios from which I normally boot OC through the boot picker menu. If I install the MVC card as a second Ellesmere card (connected to a second screen), when I boot it shows the folder with a question mark on a grey screen (missing operating system) on the display connected to the EFI card. The only way to get to the OC boot picker with this setup is by holding the option key while booting and clicking enter on the OC EFI bootloader at the regular Apple boot picker screen. Then it behaves as expected booting to the default OS in the OC boot picker and waiting for the timeout to expire.
If I disconnect that card the OC boot picker comes up automatically and stays at the default OS selection during the delay time defined in the OC configuration file, so I know the issue is with the EFI vbios. For some reason the EFI vbios "confuses" OC. @vit9696 can you please comment on this?

Yes it is the same, only renamed. It is described in the manual as well as all flaws so far here, as it is still in development.
There must be something that I am not doing right because hitting the space bar does not give me any bootPicker

Here is what I have done so far...

Replace:

<key>ConnectDrivers</key>
<true/>
<key>Drivers</key>
<array>
<string>FwRuntimeServices.efi</string>
<string>NdkBootPicker.efi</string>
</array>
<key>Input</key>
<dict>

By:

<key>ConnectDrivers</key>
<true/>
<key>Drivers</key>
<array>
<string>OpenRuntime.efi</string>
<string>OpenCanopy.efi</string>
</array>
<key>Input</key>
<dict>

Also in the BlessOverride Array Section I have switched PollAppleHotKeys from false to true; <key>HibernateMode</key> to none; <key>HideAuxiliary</key> from false to true; <key>HideSelf</key> true; <key>PickerAttributes</key> integer from 112 to 0; <key>ShowPicker</key> from true to false; <key>TakeoffDelay</key> integer 0; <key>Timeout</key> from 10 to 0. According to what you know and being successful with that Is there anything else I need to edit or add or that I am missing? I have been battling since but to no success unfortunately ...

Replaced the icons folder by the Resources ( 3 items in there Audio, Font, Image ) Replaced BOOT64.efi and Replaced the FwRuntimeServices.efi by OpenRuntime.efi ....

But nothing comes up. So when you say space bar would you explain the boot sequence? At what time will you hit the space bar? Or will you hit any other hotkey?

Thank you for your help.
You have a great day.

Having a hard time getting OpenCore to run at native resolution. Looks like when I run it at "Max" it could be 800x600 or 640x480 or something. I tried to manually put in "4096x2304" and lost my video output.

Any good way to figure out what options I have available? Running with a Radeon VII & LG Ultrafine 4K 21.5".

Thanks.

Just type "exit" from the shell and select the boot drive from boot options. Startup.nsh may need editing. But you only need to install the setup files, so manually selecting the boot drive should do.

Just adjust drivers to your taste NdkBootPicker.efi (requires folder "icons") or OpenCanopy.efi (requires "Resources" folder). NdkBootPicker.efi is more mature than OpenCanopy.efi at the time of writing.

I managed to start install process but when i choose disk partition to install it gives error about not being able to format the disk.
Just delete the partition and click Next.
