All I said is that there is good click bait and bad click bait. Max is implementing bad click bait which is.....bad. But good click bait is.....good and necessary for a growing channel. It is human flipping nature to be more interested in flashy headlines.
Fully agree! There is no excuse for not only going across that line but for this specific case the line is just a dot with how far they went. I used to watch them until their SSD fiasco.

Used to watch regularly and was subscribed and had many good insights early on. But it gradually got worse and more annoying as time went on, so unsubscribed, and watched him less to the point I probably haven't watched any of his videos in well over a year now. If someone's content is mostly a waste of time, then I'm not going to hours of my life for the few good 10 minute bits hidden somewhere in there. So to be honest, I can't say what it's like these days.
Not the first time I've seen a youtube channel seem to run out of decent stuff, so instead of reducing the regularity and keeping the quality, they just start padding it out with bollocks to keep the content volume. Guess they need clicks, but go that way too far and sometimes that results in no clicks at all from me anymore.

I honestly haven’t heard of him until late , I’m surprised everyone’s very familiar with him
he is an absolute wanker. I've stopped watching his videos as he has no real info. Just clickbait nonsense. Unfortunately, youtube is full of that now. I got fed up and if there is a clickbait icon I don't watch it even if it might be good. Maxtech has nothing good so with him I don't miss anything.
I wish I would meet him in person and ask him why he is this way.

The name, Max Tech, sounded familiar but I couldn't recall so I looked up the channel. AH, so that's Max Tech! Yes, I used to watch his videos or at least his videos would appear in my feed and I'd sometimes click. I've long stopped watching his channel though but I don't recall why. Maybe because it often felt like the reviews were too shallow or didn't offer additional information?

yeah I realize it this time around, been waiting to upgrade my m1max macbook for m4max, when I saw that video I was happy for a moment. Then unfollow him as well as reported it
I like some of their videos, especially since they seem to be the only ones that do full disassembly videos (other than ifixit), and they do it sooner than ifixit does. But every 2nd video is pure speculation. I don't find them any worse than larger Youtubers who basically do spec read videos like MKBHD though.

We are talking specifically about a single channel, per the thread title. I'd encourage you to open up your own thread about clickbait in general if that's what you'd like to discuss.
