It's worth the wait. My wife will be getting my 32GB iPad wifi that I have now when my 3G 64GB arrives.
Ordered mine yesterday and the shipping date says "June"..argh they must have loads of orders if they don't know when in June anymore.
I ordered on the 10th and my order hasn't even been prepared for shipment yet. My microsim has been sent, though.
Just think, 6 more days and your wait will be over. Then again you could have driven south of the border and got a U.S. model too.
Fedex? It's coming from china, it won't be here until Tuesday morning if shipped later tonight. Just because they won't be delivering or doing pickups doesn't mean pallets won't arrive or anything
I'm not sure if people in China work on a Sunday. Though I guess that's true. Just hope it doesn't get stuck in Customs or whatever. Mine still says Not Yet Shipped anyways.
Er I meant tomorrow, it should arrive tuesday morning if shipped tomorrow night (would be Monday morning for Shenzhen)
Hm. FedEx Estimates do calculate arrival on Thurs 27. I didn't pay for any expedited shipping.
I ran a test with an iPod dock which ships from the same warehouse
with standard shipping it took 38 hours to get to my house (Toronto)
it could have been an anomaly though
Like, on April 3rd? The extra 7 weeks with iPad was worth the 90 min drive across the border.
I'm in the exact same situation as you. It seems like most of the UK orders, and a good number of orders from elsewhere in Europe, have already shipped. Either Apple's expecting iPads to take longer to arrive there, or they just hate Canadians.
The iTunes store is still not listing the iPad apps, I got mine from the states a month ago but I have had to download the apps from the us store. I am waiting for the canadian one to become active so I can purchase some apps. Some good free ones though.
Yeah my iPad order hasn't been prepared for shipment either. They've already taken my money, so there shouldn't be any issue. I cancelled the Apple case order because it would take them at least an extra week to ship it. There are better third-party ones anyway.
idesign is right. Almost all the iPad apps are available in the Canadian store. You just have to search for "iPad" in iTunes to get them all. The only ones I've noticed missing are the iWork apps and iBooks.

My SIM cards for the 2 iPads I bought have shipped, and the two iPads are prepared for shipment, however, the iPad cases I ordered are stuck at ships by May 28.....
