Got my confirmation.

I ordered on the morning of the 10th.

I live in Calgary (a major centre).

And my confirmation now says delivery by May 31?

Why? What's going on? And why Fed Ex?

Does Fedex tracking say that date or just the Apple email? Everyone's Apple email says the 31st from what I can gather but most have a proper date through Fedex. If Fedex says the 31st then that really sucks. Personally I didn't expect mine to arrive till next Monday because I'm so far away but usually when Fedex gives a date they will meet that day.

Personally, every order I've had through Apple except one has come via Fedex. I just assumed it was their goto carrier for Canada. I've had a small item come UPS but it came directly from the US. Macbooks, iMac and iPods have always come Fedex.

Mine shipped, and according to fed ex is still scheduled to arrive at destination (calgary) by 6pm may 28 ( unless there are holdups with customs; and this appears to be the key)

Can you imagine how many of these are going to come through customs all at once Hopefully it will make it so they just send them right on through.

Just got the shipment notification email from Apple. The date got changed from Friday May 28 to Monday May 31, which is fine by me because I'm going to be busy this weekend.
However, Fedex shows ETA is Friday. Right now, it's in Shenzhen...maybe they're going to put the thing in a rocket?

Apple says:
Shipment date: 25 May, 2010
Delivers by: 31 May, 2010

Checked Fed-Ex says:
Ship date: May 25, 2010
Estimated delivery: May 28, 2010 by 12:00 PM

So excited. Half the fun is in tracking the shipment. The worst part for me is waiting until June 14 to actually get it in my hands. Ordered a DODO case, but thinking of placing an order for the Apple Case and Dock.

Same story here. Apple says May 31st, but FedEx claims it'll arrive on May 28. Considering that it arrived for shipment "after FedEx cutoff", it'll probably get here after the weekend. Bleh.

Well I have had shipments come up after FedEX cutoff.
I still believe all pre-orders that were meant to arrive on May28, will arrive on the 28th. Otherwise Apple will hear it from the customers.

You're probably right. I just had a case arrive from Hong Kong in no more then 24 hours.

Just checked mine again.

It now says Left FedEx origin facility in Shenzhen. This was at 10:06 AM (50 minutes ago, my time in Calgary)

Estimating May 28th by 6:00pm. I see FedEx has a flight that leaves in 5 hours from Hong Kong to Memphis non-stop. Maybe alot of the iPads will be on this flight and be in MEM tonight.

You're probably right. I just had a case arrive from Hong Kong in no more then 24 hours.

I just called Apple again, after getting confirmation this morning that the Ipad will arrive on May 28th. It was then shipped, Apple updated their status to May 31st. However, Fed Ex said May 28th.

So...Apple told me not to believe their status and to pay attention to the Fed-Ex site...

Hope that clarifies things for some of you out there showing a 31st delivery when you previously had 28th.

Someone posted a page or two earlier that the Apple customer service rep said all accessories won't ship till the 28th to Canada as stated when ordered. Sucks as the UK had their accessories ship.

My SIM card's status has been sitting at "Billing Information Received" since Friday. I wouldn't worry about it too much -- Apple might be holding onto them for a little while longer since it looks like they're shipping from within Canada (since the service UPS lists is "standard", not international/worldwide services/world ease).

My order left Fedex facility in Shenzhen at 12:06 pm EST, so it must be shipping with yours. The estimated delivery to London Ontario is May 28th by 6pm.

If they all made the flight I'm looking at (FDX48 SZX-ANC) it arrives in Anchorage in about an hour and they should update the tracking info. They will travel to Memphis from there and then out to various Canadian airports.

YES! They finally shipped mine as well. Delivery by the 28th (no delays). If I'm not home to pick up the package, would it go to the nearest post office or a FedEx facility?

Hmm weird maybe they have that up there as they're out of stock right now and waiting for more (I ordered May 21st). Hopefully that gets changed soon.
