I called ahead and they said, "Sorry, we can't hold it because are not allowed to do that before a first delivery attempt. But if you are willing to go to the delivery center, they MIGHT be willing to give it to you. But no guarantees."
At this point, I would wonder if they are all on the road on the East Coast.

As a 37 year old man, I never expected that I'd be as excited for this as an 8 year old waiting for Christmas morning. I think the delayed launch of the 3G and purposely avoiding seeing it in person has hyped up the excitement for me so much that I feel like I'm gonna puke 
Less than 6 hours...and I'm taking my son camping tomorrow with cub scouts and will be bringing it with me to play with in the tent after lights out tomorrow night

Lame! FedEx truck was just at my building but was an express truck with no Ipad for me. I guess my normal driver will be coming at my normal time.
I'm working from home today so I can sign for my iPad, so I'll play along with you guys.

please......I'm 60 years old, I was sitting in my room at the Hilton waiting for the front desk to call and decided to go down to the loading dock and wait. But i'm not excited

Which FedEx division is delivering these?
I ask because at my house these are usually the delivery times:
FedEx Home = 10am
FedEx Express = 3pm
FedEx Ground = 7pm

I would say it's probably not FedEx Home Delivery because I just went down to "prop open" my apartment building door (so the FedEx so they can just enter right in)... I found my neighbor downstairs have a huge package from FedEx Home Delivery in front of his door....

Picked mine up at the FedEx station due to going out of town. All works well. Great so far. My wife has the wifi so I know what it should do and it's doing it. No more info cause I am heading out.
