Madison WI had some of the Sports bands available. Only one green in 42 left and no pink or blue, but plenty of black and white. Picked up a black to go with my silver Sport.

Edit: to clarify, none of the more expensive bands available. I was specifically looking for leather loop.

Apple Store in soho and around W 14th in NYC had everything, sports, Milanese, link, leather loop, classic

But only the sports bands were on display, I had to ask to get the Milanese 42mm

Nice, thank you. I'm there Friday so I'll check it out.

I'm in Madison too and hoping for them to get stock on the Bright Blue leather loop.

Vancouver Pacific Centre has Green and Blue sports bands, classic buckle and leather loop in black. I was looking for 42mm so no info on 38mm. I picked up a black sports band with black pin. Not sure if they have any more.

Picked up the black leather loop today for my SGS. Thought it was worth noting that if at first you don't succeed, it might be worth it to try asking someone else. I went in to the store, asked a guy at the watch table about buying a leather band and he immediately shut me down, said they were only for swaps. I was about to leave but I decided to try again. So I checked out the new MacBooks, waited until I saw another employee free, and politely asked her about the leather loop. She said they should have them and she would check in the back. A few minutes later I walked out with a new band. :) I don't want to say what store it was in case she was technically breaking the rules, but it's one that's been mentioned in this thread already having bands.

Called Apple Store Victoria Gardens (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif) about an hour ago and they said that all the stock of bands they have and all the ones they will be getting are going to made available for exchanges only. I was told this by 3 different people, that last of which supposedly went and talked to one of the managers.

Called today and asked again if they had any since I had been lusting for a white band as well. I spoke to the same guy I spoke to last time and he said that they did have some in stock, including the white 42mm Sport. Drove to the store and was told by the manager that they didn't have any for sale. I told him what I was just told on the phone and he went to look. He emerged from the back with a White Sport 42mm. Very happy! My third band including the green on order.

Idk what is going on at some of these stores.

Any update?

I swung by the west jersey stores: willow brook mall and Short hills mall, only sport bands...

I'm looking to get a milanese loop...

FYI. I went to my apple store yesterday (Roosevelt field mall) they had the milanese loop. It was in the back though, they only had sport bands out on display.

So, you might want to ask if they have them in the back, or come out to mine. Long island in Garden City.

Did they say how many they had or do you think it was very limited that day? I asked and they just flat out denied even when I asked if they had any in the back...

I never asked, as I didn't really want that band. They did seem very hush hush about it though. The guy I was talking to didn't come out and say they had it (even after checking the inventory on his phone), he had to go talk to someone (they were whispering), and came back to me and said they had it in the back. Seemed a bit strange, why would you have a product and not want to sell it...

Just an observation.......

I find it odd that they are shipping and selling most of the bands in the stores when there is still a major back up online. The Milanese Loop is still showing a 7 - 8 week delivery - everything else is 1 - 2 weeks, yet, if you are lucky enough to live near an apple store you can walk in and buy one. Wouldn't you think they would catch up to all the online orders first, since that was the only way to order at first. I would think that would be the more fair and equitable way to do it.

I am lucky enough to live near a few apple stores and got my black sports band and Milanese Loop and just cancelled my online orders, but still think they are doing this is odd.

I was in my local Apple Store (Staten Island, NY) a little less than a week ago and they told me they only had sport bands (which weren't on the shelf). They also told me they have no clue when they will get more shipments. I'm hoping we get more bands at WWDC anyway lol.

Thanks for the feedback...

I think they are still up in the air as to what they're 'allowed' to sell. I think the stores are earmarked for receipt of certain bands (whatever the warehouse sends), they open the box and are surprised with what they find.

This leads me to believe that there is a chance every store has examples of each, on site, but they are currently being directed to either not put them on the shelf and claim they are not available or perhaps they are first come first serve...

accessories have always been harder to track/account for vs the hardware (phones, computers, devices, etc)...

I believe the stores are getting shipments of certain examples but certainly not a lot at a time (perhaps getting sold out first thing in the morning)...

My collection is now complete!

Called in today to see if the local store got the green band in their nightly shipment and got the same "We aren't allowed to sell them" BS. I told them I just bought one there last night. Apparently the manager made an exception. I guess this whole store is built on exceptions because every time they have to do something for me its an exception.

Or maybe they just hate me.

Just stopped by the Apple Store at the Westchester Mall (White Plains, NY) and they only had sport bands (seemed to have most colors in both sizes), nothing else.

Just came back from the Soho store, told only sport bands are available.

WOW...

Just came back from Soho store today, and at around ~4:45 PM EST I walked out with a 42 mm milanese loop...

I guess I was lucky with the guy I had, he was fiddling with the accessories as I walked up and asked. He pulled out his iPhone thing, and pulled up a list of what looked like a few bands left (I guess they are inventoried individually) and said hold on while he went to the back.

After a few minutes he came out with one and told me "here you go, hope this is the one you wanted it took me a while to get it" and "if they give you any issues with checking out just have them talk to me"...

I think every store has em, it just has to do with the individual person you get...

Going to cancel my online order for the same band I placed on May 1 and is still only shipping in late june  lol
