I never asked, as I didn't really want that band. They did seem very hush hush about it though. The guy I was talking to didn't come out and say they had it (even after checking the inventory on his phone), he had to go talk to someone (they were whispering), and came back to me and said they had it in the back. Seemed a bit strange, why would you have a product and not want to sell it...
Thanks for the feedback...
I think they are still up in the air as to what they're 'allowed' to sell. I think the stores are earmarked for receipt of certain bands (whatever the warehouse sends), they open the box and are surprised with what they find.
This leads me to believe that there is a chance every store has examples of each, on site, but they are currently being directed to either not put them on the shelf and claim they are not available or perhaps they are first come first serve...

I find it odd that they are shipping and selling most of the bands in the stores when there is still a major back up online. The Milanese Loop is still showing a 7 - 8 week delivery - everything else is 1 - 2 weeks, yet, if you are lucky enough to live near an apple store you can walk in and buy one. Wouldn't you think they would catch up to all the online orders first, since that was the only way to order at first. I would think that would be the more fair and equitable way to do it.
I am lucky enough to live near a few apple stores and got my black sports band and Milanese Loop and just cancelled my online orders, but still think they are doing this is odd.
accessories have always been harder to track/account for vs the hardware (phones, computers, devices, etc)...
I believe the stores are getting shipments of certain examples but certainly not a lot at a time (perhaps getting sold out first thing in the morning)...
