Found Black sports band and Leather bands in the Ft Worth University store this last weekend.
They also had green and blue sports bands... I cancelled my Apple Store order which was not due to deliver until next week.....

Bands in Apple Stores

Curious what bands everyone has been able to locate in local apple stores. I have heard of most types being in stores, depending on the location, and that it's been hit or miss. All I've seen is sports bands and classic buckles. If you found others, did you have to get someone to go to the back of the store to get it?

There's seems to be a lot of strange behavior by Apple with in-store purchases related to Apple Watch.

I have read heard that it may help to just walk into your local Apple store(s) and ask for watch straps to see what they have. I read on here that the website said a certain store was out of whatever bands on the site but when asked in store an employee went in back and came out with the band they wanted. Normally I would trust the site and not bother spending time in the store but for the next month as band production ramps up you may want to talk a walk and see what they have on hand.

SoCal here. Hit up a couple stores yesterday.

Irvine Spectrum only had sport on display, all colors except pink. The associate who checked in back said all they had were 38mm classic buckles.

South Coast Plaza had all color sports on display except pink, and had several 42mm classic buckles and black leather loops in back.

Bought a 42mm classic buckle.

38 and 42 in every color.

Philadelphia here. They only have sport bands in the Walnut Street store but have all available sizes and colors. I grabbed a green and a blue.

Checked the Glendale Galeria and the Americana store in SoCal in person today, lots of blue, green, black and white SBs in each size, but no MLs, which is what I'm looking for. Called The Grove and they said they had nothing for the 42. They had the ML for the 38 the other day.

Anyone know when in the day Apple receives their shipments? Morning, afternoon?

Yeah, I thought I read that a few days ago but it was only one post and nothing more was mentioned. The 2 flagship stores in LA (the grove and santa monica) said that they have yet to get any of the link bracelets in stock.

It is really luck of the draw, what they have and who you talk to. I believe at least some of the reason the stores are getting bands is in case they need them to replace bands in the try-on cases. But if the band isn't needed they can sell it.

I bought the last 42mm Milanese band at the GCT store in NYC this morning (7:45 am). The employees checked their iPhones, no stock listed for that band at any of the NYC-area stores. But one offered to walk in back and check, and about 5 minutes later she came out with the band.

Just got back and picked up a 42mm WSB for the summer

They had 38mm blue sport, 38/42 white sport, classic buckle, and black(L) /brown(M) leather loop bands (on the floor). Did not ask about today's shipment since I just wanted the white sport.

Very small amount on shelves - maybe 2-5 deep on each

Yeah, you can call. I have been calling a bunch of different stores almost daily looking for the link bracelet.

Tysons Corner (VA) just told me they had 2 38mm ML for those looking. No 42mm unfortunately

I was just told by someone at South Park Charlotte that NC, SC and GA will not be getting anything but sports bands and classic buckles for now. That would explain why I can't find a ML anywhere in the south east. Anyone in GA, SC or NC find any Watch line bands other than classic buckle? Looking like I'm just going to have to wait however long the online store takes to ship. I ordered a 38mm ML on Tuesday, got charged earlier this week, but I still haven't gotten notice of PFS or anything.

I love these little power trips the managers/staff are still wringing out right before stock opens up and these things become a dime a dozen..

I wouldn't trust calling, seems to have something to do with being in person in front of them begging for a chance to part with $149 + tax

Went today to SCP based on this post. They had the sports bands, classic buckle and the leather loops in brown. No black leather loop. Picked up WSB.

Apple Store Victoria Gardens (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif) had Pink, Blue and White in 38mm and Black with SS in 42mm on display. Didn't ask about any others as I was there for a Genius Bar appointment.

The Maine mall store in Portland had sports bands, I ask if anything behind the counter and scored a black leather loop. Milanese maybe coming in today, they have never seen a link yet

I find it rather frustrating that bands (besides sports) are so hard to come by in Apple stores.

I've been calling my two local stores daily to see if any leather loops came in, but nope. They do seem to be checking their full inventory and not just reflexively saying no.
