My own ill feelings towards the Cardinals have mellowed a bit over the years. They're another classic franchise who does things the right way, their fanbase isn't too overly entitled, and the Giants have broken their hearts in the postseason numerous times since 1987.

That said, Jack Flaherty provoked the normally cool customer LaMonte Wade Jr. to really lose his temper last night. Overall a very strange game.

J.D. Davis got his arm broken by a pitch last night, so begin the Luis Matos era.

I enjoy watching them, I'm no fan, but I do like a good baseball game. I also enjoy watching Orioles, they've been really fun to watch. I typically go for the small clubs, like Detroit and Milwaukee but this year those two haven't grabbed me.

Yeah that he got Wade pissed was odd...

I still hate them.

Loving the O's success!

Agreed. The Cards are a classic franchise for sure and I have much respect for them, but I hate them, not like I hate the bodgers and spanks though... that is whole other level of hate!

I’m just sad to see the Red Sox slipping below .500 again… it doesn’t look like a playoff year.
The past few years have seen them lose talent, and look bewildered as to why they struggle. There's some bright spots in the team, to be sure, but it seems like a patchwork at best. Meanwhile the other teams in the division have taken their time to build their teams up from their farm systems and the patience and hardwork has paid off. Even the dreaded yankees, avoided (somewhat) their typical pitfalls by overpaying for free agents, and instead have grew their team from their farm system.

Just won in extras vs the bodgers...

Rockies have a -82 run differential which surprisingly is on the 3rd worse in all of baseball.

Guess they are looking to be eliminated from playoff contention earlier than usual this year.

Giants swept the Dodgers and looked dominant doing it. I did not expect that this weekend. I hope the injuries stop though. Schmitt got hit on the Arm which didn't look good but hopefully nothing is broken.

The brooms come out in LA!

What a great start for Luis Matos and a real clutch hit today.

I hate to say it, but having Matos come up for Haniger feels like addition by subtraction. I hope his regression isn't as bad as Schmitt's but Matos just looks incredibly comfortable at the plate and actually takes walks.

My wife treated me to the red sox vs yankees game. We had a blast. We had the standing room right field section - really nice location. Awesome atmosphere. I really wish ball games were more affordable, the family and I would go more often. As it stands, going once a year is about all we can accommodate.

I don't know what the attendance was at fenway, but it looked like a sellout
