Cleveland now has the longest drought as a former WS champion. Ironic that the title passed from the Cubs to the Indians in 2016 when the two with the longest streaks faced off.
Agreed. I think Judge will step up Monday. Soto in the lineup has been beneficial all season for Judge.
I still believe it’s going to come down to pitching. Let’s see how Boone manages the matchups. I really want to have confidence in him, but I’ve never been able to get there.
This is a tough series for me. I’m a huge Cleveland fan as well. I still can’t refer to them as the Guardians. It’s like putting ketchup on a hotdog.
My biggest challenge currently is fending off all the smack talk from family on Long Island wanting a Subway Series. I have to constantly remind them of the old Mets Jerseys in my garage I use as rags.
Anyway, there’s not much that compares to October Baseball.
I can see the Mets winning but I don't like them anymore than I do NYY or the bodgers.
I'm full-on rooting for CLE ... whom I don't think have a real chance. 😒😔😖

Well he is a great hitter, he was going to figure out postseason baseball sooner or later. Him and Soto and Stanton and Verdugo make a really tough lineup.
And then CLE added a small bump on the road last night... can they do it again tonight?

Last night was intense though. It's been a long time since I've had to go walk in the driveway for a few to cool off during October Baseball. Had my wife and oldest son a little worried as well. No coffee 6hrs before tonights game.....

The GIANTS were sitting at 55 - 60 in second place and the NL west was very weak. The bodgers were only 2 games above .500 in first place.
But... The AL west was worse! TEX was in first place 10 games under .500 with a record of 52 - 62!
It's a shame what happened to MON for sure.
Is TB looking to relocate? Could they go to Montreal? Could they claim the Expos name?

Another great October game. It's going to be difficult for Cleveland tonight. The Yankees have Clase's number. That's a tough obstacle to overcome. Fall Foliage, Crisp Clear days, and the best October Baseball in a long time.

You can make a good Cy Young case for Clase this year. But the Yankees just have him figured out. I saw someone post that in 6 of his last 10 outings against them, the Yankees got to him.
I agree. I’m not sure about 6 of the last 10, but it’s probably accurate. Unfortunately most will remember the 2 Sliders he has hung out this series.
Another incredible game. Hats off to Cleveland. Game 5 could have gone either way. I think their undoing was the Yankees Long Ball. Everyone was talking about Cleveland's untouchable Bull Pen. I agree they had the best BP in MLB this year, but it gave up 6 HR's over roughly 45 innings. That's tough to overcome. If one wants to Nit Pick you could put last nights loss on Rocchio. Without his 10th inning error Soto doesn't come to the plate.
Looking like a LA, NY series. It's always a grind on the Cross Continent ones. Hopefully we continue to see great October Baseball.
