When I try to install CAT, I get an error and it fails. The error states it is already installed and complains about the "Entry, ":Mac-F42C88C8:ContinuitySupport", Does Not Exist"

However, my continuity works on my Mac Pro 2008 after I log into another user and then switch back. i think it may have been left in a weird state, but this is what I see when I run the system compatibility check:

I have macmini 2011 mid - Cat 2.2

Bye

Early 2011 MBP w/ 6s here - I'm at my wits end trying to get this working in El Capitan (swapped the card and everything was working great in Yosemite). In El Capitan, I've disabled SIP, run CAT 2.2.1 (and tried previous versions too, but restored from recovery prior to my latest try).

Profiler shows that BTLE, Handoff and Instant Hotspot ARE supported. These functions are not working, even after logging out of iCloud on both devices. No Instant Hotspot, handoff, or Airdrop functions work. I also cannot get MacID working which is frustrating (was working great on Yosemite).

I've even tried to change out cloud /System/Library/CoreServices/cloudpaird from a 10.10 install since someone said that would help w/ the handoff functions. I would at least think that MacID would work? Bluetooth does work because I can pair with my 6s and use hotspot over bluetooth, so I don't feel like it's a hardware problem.

Any tips? Do I need to be using a different version of CAT? What about cloudpaird?

I have a late 2011 MacBook Pro and I changed the Bluetooth card in the MacBook Pro Late 2011. Everything worked in Yosemite. I ran cat 2.2.1 and have hotspot over Bluetooth, airdrop works and continuity work. Except I can't receive calls on the MacBook Pro. I can call from the MacBook Pro.

I put the cloudpaird from Yosemite and it didn't seem to help, so I went back to cloudpaird from El Capitan and same issue. Very strange that everything works except receiving calls on the MacBook. I even signed out of iCloud on the MacBook and iPhone 6s. I'm wondering if it's something with the 6s and the modified Bluetooth card? On a MacBook Air 2013 everything works properly, handoff, hotspot and continuity.

Any idea's?

Any ideas???

Got it working by running the "sudo contitool.sh -f" option all is working now.

Yes I know that but when I download the continuity master file that file isn't there. Where do I download the .app file that has the contitool.sh?
Right-click on the app and select "show contents" and follow the path given.

Finally got it working. Followed your steps but had to change the the file to executable then run sudo ./contitool.sh -f then sign out of iCloud on the MacBook turn off handoff on iOS and MacBook and now I can receive and call from the MacBook Pro late 2011.

Thanks to all that helped.

Try to use the latest CAT))

I think theres a new 10.11.2? I updated a couple days ago, but it wanted to update again. When I did it installed and then said 'restarting' which it then through a long beep, and shut down, then restarted (VERY nerve wracking btw)
But it restarted ok, and now im enabled.
I tried the latest CAT but initially got the same problem as Starlugo, and had to use teh Sudo command with the .app to get it to install

FYI, resetting bluetooth preferences and cache fixed the issue for me. Here's more info on how to do this: https://github.com/dokterdok/Continuity-Activation-Tool/issues/249
