Same here, getting 4 results after 15-30 minutes of running search.

Strange thing in my case is that my search in outlook worked fine but only searched for mail up and until 14/12/2021 and nothing after that. I rebuilt the index and now I'm getting drips of results. Should have never rebuilt the index.
I am still getting some verrrrry slow loading of search items on ( Outlook for Mac v 16.56, Monterey 12.1)..

I got the same thing yesterday when switching from New to old outlook and performing a quick search. I let the search and it found a few items. Entered a new search and it found nothing. I was able to repeat it by switching back and forth from new to old. Second search will always fail with no results.

Seems as if the latest Beta has search working correctly for me. Version 16.58

Even after disabling and erasing Spotlight indexing using the mdutil command, I still get hangs in some apps which require a restart to start working again. Like when saving a document, macOS wants to add some metadata to something which may hang.

Agreed. Latest beta for Outlook, version 16.58, restores longstanding search functionality to "old" Outlook for me. Search does work in "new" Outlook, but I can't handle the "new" appearance or limits in functionality at this point.
Yes here too, the beta from the 4th of Jan did not work, but 16.58.22010406 works and without any further shenanigans.

This is a question from someone who has only used a Wintel laptop for work and wishes to fully transition to Mac when the Outlook search mess is resolved.

Do you sync your Mail, Contacts and Calendars on both the macOS apps and Outlook? I so, did you check the boxes for Mail, Contacts and Calendars in iCloud?

Just open Microsoft Auto Update, hit the More/Extra/Erweitert Button on the right bottom and select Beta Channel and re-check for updates

And yes. Search works immediately after update, without any re-indexing. Cool

Where is the auto update option? Can't seem to find it.

FYI, I've downloaded Outlook from App Store.

Launch the Outlook app.
Select "Check For Updates" from the Help menu. The Microsoft Auto Update app will launch.
Click the "Advanced..." button in the Microsoft Auto Update app.
Change the "Update Channel" to "Beta Channel".

The App Store versions of the Office apps don't include Microsoft Autoupdate and only update through the App Store.

I have downloaded the apps directly from MS. After reading the recent posts above, I clicked on the "Advanced" button to get to the beta channel and it seems to be disabled. Any suggestions on what to do?

:mad::mad:.... got really excited to hear the beta update fixing the issue but it's not working on my end. Confirmed I've installed the recent update, restarted my machine, and gave it an hour or so to index but still "No Results" for a common search. I didn't install any of the other Office beta releases (excel, word, power point, etc.)

Just to make sure, I went ahead with the Beta install of the rest of the Office apps but no dice. So disappointed, this is my main work machine and it's killing me to not be able to search emails. The amount of time I'm wasting is ridiculous.

Hi, does anyone know how I can import mails that I have stored in the "on my computer" to a new profile that I created?

It is also not working for me with the beta installed (Intel iMac if that matters).
