Surprised anyone would say that 360 is better than Apple Watch. First of all Apple thought it all through. New interface that makes sense. No cut off texts and very customizable. I will bet money on Google and others going back to the drawing board using Apple Watch as a template.

I think most of it is based on looks/aesthetics, there just is no comparison. You are right though, android wear is a bit janky and it's even jankier on the Moto 360 IMO. We still haven't really seen Apples watch UI yet, or did I miss anything other than the video where they send the smilie?

I didn't watch the video on Apple's website but they did an extensive run through of much of it during the Keynote. My best descriptor would be it's very much like iOS.

The UI is in the videos. Haven't seen or heard the specs though. Battery life, how much storage and all that would be interesting to hear. With that said, it's nice and all but @ $349 starting, I'm not even thinking about getting one.

Back to discussing the lovely Moto 360!

Whelp, that's it for today, watch battery down to 1%, it's going on the charger. So today it went from 8am to 12 am, 16hrs. I did use it a little more today, found it really handy to set up reminder and to take notes by just raising my wrist and talking.

Still in awe of the round display, really wished apple had gone with a round display for the apple watch.

Edited my dumb math mistake.

Thanks for the feedback. 8-midnight sounds like 16 hours to me ;)

Wish the 360 was compatible with iOS. I would hunt one down to pair with my new iPhone. Oh well.

So I replaced the leather bands with some stainless steel ones, thought I'd share.

These are from a Casio watch.

Last one, I know, I have dainty wrist, they're actually thinner than my wife's, but even then the watch doesn't feel to big on me.

that silver is growing on me...i was initially all set to get a black on black but started to get concern about nicks and scratches showing the underlying silver...

It really needs a beefier stainless steel band IMO. I have the pebble SS band and while it looks a ton better than the leather strap, it's just very thin and wimpy looking. It really needs something a bit wider than 22mm, but was maybe tapered where it enters the body of the phone, from seeing pics of the official one it seems that's exactly what it does. A beefier band will give it a bit more weight as right now it kind of feels like a hollowed out piece of tin foil it's so light, this is purely for aesthetics.

So we are supposed to be able to ping the phone from the watch. Has anyone figured out how to do that yet?

My next charge will be my 5th and I've had the watch since Tues, 9/9. So far battery life has improved after every charge. I took mine off the charger on Sat @ 9 am and I still have 29% today @ 625pm from a bunch of emails, alerts and playing around with it for a bit. IMHO, reviewers jumped the gun in stating battery life sucks after usage for a short period time.

I think a lot of it has to do with how much usage the devices initially see. Whenever I get a new device, I'm on it quite a lot exploring its features/functionality, setting it up, etc. Yet have the so-called device honeymoon ends and typical usage sets in, battery life is bound to get better.

This is how I feel. Have people been reporting nicks on the black? It reminds me of the iphone 5.

Just got back from returning mine, sigh hated to see it go. It absolutely is the nicest looking smartwatch. I took another look at the Gear 2 and there is just absolutely no comparison. Unfortunately a smartwatch isn't for me. I may dabble with a smart bracelet though if they ever get in a decent heartrate sensor.

Are you kidding me?? I can't order Moto360 from Motorola's site because I'm not living in the US. This is ridiculous. I seriously have to wait till it comes for sale in local stores much much later? I call this stupid. I don't give a crap about US.

This is totally a letdown.

Not going for the Moto360 anymore then. I'll save my money, get rid of my HTC and get the iPhone 6. At least Apple will ship me what I want and when I want basically.

I know I am not the only one who is interested in iOS notifications on the Moto360. Notifications were made capable with jailbroken iPhones onto the Galaxy Gear via "CloudNotifier" so it can absolutely be done. The Moto360 is an incredibly sexy piece of hardware. I would absolutely pay for a jailbreak tweak that enabled this functionality.
