Was very nerve racking, especially as i had contrasting info on how to do it with a Mac. But yeah sorted now. Just updating all my apps but my internet is like a snail tonight.

So far its nice, not sure its faster than the Moto X was on 4.4.4 though tbh. But it does look aesthetically nice, much prefer the way the menu and onscreen buttons now show extra menu in there too.

After you get all the apps downloaded there might be a few updates for those apps too. Give it a half day to bake in and you should sees speed bump.

That sounds like a really cool combo of colors. Please post a few photos of it when you get chance.

My concerns about the ergonomics of the device compared to the previous 2013 Moto X have been pleasantly dispelled. I'm really enjoying the device and lollipop has some really nice features.

A few things still annoying with Lollipop that I wish they had addressed but otherwise it's great and I'm pleased with it :)

Yep just looking into that now. I see I can also change my product code to retail eu as well so may do that at same time. :)

Still find flashing scary.

Do you have to unlock your boot loader to do this (flash lollipop)

Good working on popping that cherry. I actually flashed the EU version and was so easy.

Rooted straight after as well

It was easier that I had envisioned however I did have to work out the flashing instructions from those on XDA as I did it from my Mac rather than a PC.

:). Really enjoying the phone it's very nice indeed and the speaker quality is surprisingly decent too. Listening to some classical music on it in my room and it sounds great.

Here are some quick crude shots. I'm liking the phone overall but wish the display was better calibrated.

Liking Lollipop thus far but wish the quick access to silent mode via the power button was still present.

I saw the phone last week and I loved the design, built quality and ergonomics.

However, I can't live with just 16GB. There's no European model with 32GB (at least on my country). It's annoying that Motorola has done the same as last year with the original X.

This is my concern with mine. I'm already down to only 6gb free with only my standard apps (1 game threes) and around 10 albums from Google Play Music .... It's gonna be scale of me always having to monitor which was why I was looking for a file explorer earlier.

Same thing here in Australia and it's $697 AUS. Still bought it anyway :)

The other thing was that Motorola released 7 weeks late which was also annoying.

Battery life has been excellent on lollipop.

From 100% down to 5% I can get just over 5hrs (5hr 20) screen on time which is fantastic considering the relatively smaller battery compared yo other android devices I've had this year.

You can get the 32gb in the UK on moto maker. That's what I did as the 16gb was just going to be too limited.

I was going to use moto maker but they wouldn't ship to ROI for me. Its certainly worth the extra for the 16 GB extra.

The 16gb only has 10gb user accessible from start. They really need to start advertising the true amount of free storage users get out of the box .

I'm surprised how good it's been too as I expected much worse. Right now it's used 35% in 21 hours with 2 hours of that active.

I agree, I'm down to 4GB already and only have 1.37GB of music but have about 3GB in apps.

Majority if not all of the retail units are 16GB. 32GB has to be bought from Motorola itself which ships to a restricted number of countries. Shame really.

I wonder if 5.0.1 will come to the Moto X soon. Also wonder if Motorola will patch the camera for better pics/video.

The only thing i care to know about the Moto X is the battery life since it only comes with a 2300 mAh battery. Everything else i like but i cant get another phone with a small battery unless they somehow made it better but i seriously doubt it.

It's been surprisingly decent for me considering its size.

Here were mine after a very heavy usage day.

Brightness on auto all day. I was seriously pleased with it considering the 2300mah and all the things like Moto Display etc.

Did you have any experience with battery life before Lollipop? Currently running 4.4.4 (I'm sure it will be a while before my carrier pushes Lollipop) and the SoT has been marginally better than my 2013 X.

Not as detailed as I only had it couple of days before I flashed Lollipop. In that brief time it was reminiscent of the original Moto x battery for me. Lollipop is certainly improved it.

No interventation needed this go round since you got an excellent phone. I was not worried about ergonomics for you cause you have an iPhone 6 so little difference except thickness.

You done good, carry on. :)
