Batt life is very decent i've found. I've dealt with worse.

Off charge for 18.5 hrs. SoT of just over 4hrs.

Lots of messaging and occasional browsing. Lots of social media (Youtube, Buzfeed etc)

25% - 55% brightness depending on ambient light. No Auto-Brightness.

Wi-Fi on until i took these screenshots.

Both great devices, but I think I'd miss the Moto display and the extra Moto features that actually enhance the android experience in very positive way.

Good to see some nice examples of camera shots and battery life. I thought about getting a Moto X 2014 during their Black Friday/Monday sale. The Pure Edition looks nice and since I plan on traveling abroad, the LTE bands could be useful. I'm 1 year into my Verizon iPhone 5s contract so I don't know if I can jump ship and lose my unlimited. I might just settle with the Moto G. There's also losing iMessage, which I've gotten used to. The syncing with OS X Yosemite is definitely nice. We'll see.

I recently switched from iPhone 6 to Moto X. My main reason for switching is screen size. For me 4.7 inch was small(especially for web browsing). The Moto X has almost the same dimensions as iPhone 6(just a little wider) but has much bigger display. I have average size male hands and I can comfortably use Moto X with one hand for typing and other stuff. The phone is ergonomic and much nicer to hold. Battery life is about the same as iPhone 6. Camera is just crap. The sensor is good, but the image processing is pathetic. The camera takes a long time to focus and if move it a little it has to refocus. The low light performance is also bad.

The android lag is mostly gone in 5.0 but still it is not as fluid as ios. I considered lg g3 before but went with moto x as it has stock android. My biggest disappointment aside from camera is that now I can't buy apple watch. I was really looking forward to it

Just as fluid to me when I compare my Moto x 2nd gen to my iPhone 6. In fact, I've far more issues with the 6 which is a surprise.

To me they are both the same, very fast & fluid. I have no issues with either my 6+ or Moto x

Just got my Moto X 2 today. Turn it on...started to set up with Moto Migrate. Then a 678MB system update popped up and started to download. Wonder what it is...... 5.0? Its is installing now so we will see in a few minutes.

It was Lollipop!

Do Verizon put bloat on the device ?
