Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but is there no way to reorder the current playback queue? I'm trying to drag songs to change the order and they don't move. I swear this used to work in iTunes.
It's super buggy. Often doesn't work for me either in situations where it should.Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but is there no way to reorder the current playback queue? I'm trying to drag songs to change the order and they don't move. I swear this used to work in iTunes.
Same here. It has become a sad joke. Spotify has nothing to worry about unless Apple finally decides to put some effort and resources into fixing Apple Music. For some reason they prefer to waste time with animated album covers and yesterday's fiasco announcement for lossless.Wow, Apple Music on MacOS has gotten some nasty bugs since 11.3. The "Listen Now" screen goes blank when I go to "Browse" or to "Radio", Play Next does not work, when I go back to a playlist or an album I started but didn't finish it continues at the next unplayed track and won't play the previous tracks even if I start over. Really annoying.
Sorry, don't have time to read all 20 pages in this thread at the moment, maybe it's already been discussed.
I somehow managed to transfer my iTunes library to the Music app on my MBA M1 with Big Sur. It's all there, except about half the album art is now missing. I have 25k songs in the library now running off an external HD. I sometimes see in the bottom left something about 'updating album art', but not for long, and nothing seems to have been updated. I read somewhere that the Music app might get around to updating it all at some point. This is not acceptable, it needs to happen now, I want my album art back as I've spent the better part of the last 10 years adding it all. Now I can still access my library on my old 2011 MBP complete with album art, but that machine is getting old and so I'm trying not to use it too much anymore.
Yes, this has been a known bug since the beginning. Never addressed.Sorry, don't have time to read all 20 pages in this thread at the moment, maybe it's already been discussed.

i assume youve highlighted them all and clicked 'get album art' like in itunes, yea?
im guessing the missing art was art that was not manually part of the audio files and instead in the itunes library, and would need to be rebuilt
Because it hasnt 'got got', it's stored in an iTunes cache if its not embedded in the file itself. That's why the 1% you added remained, it's embedded in the file metadata itself so was able to cross the pond from iTunes to Music without issue. Why would I need to 'get album art' that's already been got, yea? About 99% of the art was obtained automatically when I ripped from CD. The other 1% was manually downloaded from Discogs, but oddly enough most of that manually added art is not missing.
Moral of the story, all the art is still there, if I open it in iTunes on my old laptop. My question is why is the new Music app on my €1000 laptop not seeing it all? If it is in fact a bug that Apple might get around to fixing sometime this century, then so be it. At least I'll know to stop trying to fix something I can't.

Can someone on MacOS 11.4 download Lord Huron's latest album (Long Lost) and then try playing it after it's been downloaded?
Instead of M4Ps, it seems to download HLS Media which it then refuses to play (streaming the album works fine).

Well, after upgrading to Big Sur 11.4, and Music 1.1.5.74 things actually got worse.I've had Music do that (very) rarely.
Recently though**, I've experienced a (similar/maybe related) issue:
When playing music from a playlist the animated line indicating how far the song has played (progress bar, see screenshot), does not progress (usually it doesn't start at all, sometimes - but rarely - it stops "mid song"), but the song itself plays along.
Normally it will go on to play the next song in the playlist, also, but when that is done it just stops.
Neither the first nor the second song "finishes", ie. are tagged as played and added to the Recently Played smart list.
Very annoying.

** I think this was introduced with Big Sur 11.3, cannot remember it happening before that. Was not fixed in 11.3.1.
"Apple Digital Master" doesn't mean "lossless". It's the same old AAC 256Kb/s.
The Spacebar still acts as a pause/play button for me in Music. I have noticed, though, that the cursor seems to end up in the Search field now when I don't intend it to.I always used the space bar to pause, but now am realizing in Music that the geniuses at Apple thought the space bar could sometimes pause and sometimes open the search field, and sometimes pause while opening the search field to search for a space

I'm losing my mind

I tried a few of the jazz stations today and two or three did not work. Tim better start looking at Apple Music ASAP before they are even further behind Spotify. The performance on my Mac is terrible.Problem with some radiostations after BigSur 11.4/AM 1.1.5.74
After upgrading to 11.4 and Apple Music 1.1.5.74 some of the radiostations (TuneIn) won't start.
I have tried multiple ones and only half of them work.
The following work:
Kink - https://music.apple.com/nl/station/kink/ra.1461146131
QMusic Non-stop - https://music.apple.com/nl/station/qmusic-non-stop/ra.1461546950
100% NL - https://music.apple.com/nl/station/100-nl/ra.1460981508
But the following do not work:
Radio Veronica - https://music.apple.com/nl/station/radio-veronica/ra.1461198804
NPO Radio 1 - https://music.apple.com/nl/station/npo-radio-1/ra.1461225009
I have tried the same stations at tunein.com and the stations do work over there.
They also work when I try it from my iPhone (Music app and Sonos app) and even my old MacMini (Catalina with only iTunes).
Support from Apple is a joke
I contacted support and this didn't help much; spend an hour on the phone and all they could come up with was;
- log out of AM, restart and log in again (didn't work)
- make a new user and try it from that profile (didn't work)
- re-install the complete OS (didn't work)
I asked them if they could confirm the stations do work on their machine with BigSur 11.4 and AM 1.1.5.74 installed. If that was the case then the problem would be with my profile and/or device. But if this was not the case it could be a wider problem between Apple Music and TuneIn.com. To my big surprise the senior support adviser told me that they do not have access to Apple Music so they could not check if the stations are working for them.
How is this possible; a helpdesk without access the product your supporting (Apple Music in this case)?
Help with testing if stations work?
Can anyone with an Apple Music account, working on a MacBook (pro 15-inch, 2016) and on BigSur 11.4 with Apple Music 1.1.5.74; that the stations Radio Veronica or NPO Radio 1 still work?
