Allow everyone to downgrade to the OS version of their choice like on Android and everyone is satisfied.

By the way my computer is years old but has no stutter and it has gone from Windows 7 right till Windows 10. So that experience can and does exist on this planet
Not for everyone though, I have occasional stutter and lag on all of my windows devices, never seen it on my MacBook Air pros though.

Just because they dont BOTHER YOU doesnt mean they dont bother me. I dislike any kind of lag.I paid top dollar for the video cards on my laptops on desktops to eliminate lag in games and I would like a similar experience on my iOS devices which isnt there.
They are probably perceived framerate drops as in illusions.

How much does the PC cost? What's the hardware
Irrelevant to the symptoms. It's custom built by me, however.

I think I know what I see better than you. I monitor frame rates using fraps on PC so I know what low fps looks like. Older iOS devices are far from running at 60fps

Very much relevant to the symptoms. Cant build a 5400RPM HDD with intel graphics and not expect stutter

In other posts you flat out said I lied, I'm being more generous by saying perceived.

Nope I expect no stuttering, but that's not real world.

If you buy or build low end hardware or mid range expect mid range performance. Spend over 2k and you get no stutters. My XPS 13 starts in seconds and likely faster than a Mac and has no stutters.Spend 1k on a phone and you get stutters over time. This is the real world

It's also anecdotal and could be faked.

Windows 10 is finely tuned after 25 years of Windows....not really. That's the real world.

I made the video and I didnt fake it. Dont care if you believe me or not. I have learnt that the effective life of an iOS device is 2 years. Dont bother upgrading it after that unless you just want to trash the device and find an excuse to upgrade

Windows is most definitely, no make that infinitely better than an operating system which slows down devices in a year without even doing anything. Apple managed to slow down a tablet which had no trouble running even the most demanding apps on the store lightning fast. Truly some next gen optimisation there

I don't know what you did or didn't do. To me the video is anectodal to be taken with a grain of salt. My (two)5s are going on 4 years.

So you're now comparing an operating system and hardware requiring lots power and cooling far above iOS requirements?

Might as well compare a cray supercomputer to a flip phone. And it's clear with 1bn iOS devices in this world , you're devices have issues.

Clearly I am not alone considering the OP and the tons of complaints and articles on the web about it

The comparison is perfect because iOS despite not being as advanced or feature packed as Windows gets crippled in 2 years without even doing anything while Windows on Macbook class hardware (the iPad Pro CPU is almost as powerful as Macbook 2015) still wont lag in 2 years

A ton of complaints may not amount to a hill of beans. It's like web search oled burn-in and what company pops up on the first page.

No the comparison is less perfect (read: hyperbole) because my 5s and 6 are going strong at 4 and 3 years while I have stutters and lag on Windows 10. Intel hardware requires power and cooling and can go at 100% forever, not so on mobile hardware.

You're a technological hypochondriac if you consider a tiny UI stutter to be "crippling" your hardware.

Wow! You guys are STILL going at it? Hasn't this been going on for more than a year? I think it's safe to say everyone has gotten their points across.

I think the thread came back from the dead a few years ago, it hasn't been constant this whole time.

I'm not referring to a single thread, but rather a debate that has been going on for way too long. This spanned many, many threads.

No stutter here.
Without knowing what and how someone runs things this is at best a not very general issue - how many apps are running, how many tabs on Safari, what is wallpaper and settings etc. Probably a million variables and probably a million people might have a symptom and not notice.
But it is good to know that a similar thread appears every couple of months and with every update to IOS or hardware

What tasks is that? I compare my 6s against my 7 and while 7 is faster the 6s doesn't stutter or lag, except in the cell screen.
Scrolling is smoother, multitasking is more stable when maintains a large quantity of apps (but I guess depends more on usability and frequency of switching).

The facts are that people are facing speed issues. Never denied OLED doesnt have burn in just like LCD has yellow tint

The 6 is definitely nowhere close to strong. Its speed on iOS 10 is Nexus 5 level

Windows 10 on ARM hardware running full x86 software is incoming Q4.Game over

Not every lcd has yellow tint, but all oled has burn-in (except of course if you don't use your device). If my 5s and 6 can run normally and fine, you're 6 can.

The 6 is three years old. And just like pc world proved windows 10 doesn't run on all old hardware, your 6 is having issues.

There is a difference between windows 10 running on arm and being usable. Game called on account of foul.

I still have an old PC from 2006.
This PC is currently running windows 10 with no issues, it's even faster on windows 10 than it used to be on windows vista that it originally shipped with.
Of course it is nowhere as fast as modern current PCs but I am comparing two software versions on the same hardware.
I think that does say something.

That vista was an absolute disaster performance wise and a huge technological leap from 2006 to 2016 in making old hardware run better, sure.

It's not analogous at all to cell phones however....

The pc world article says the opposite, but to each their own.
