Incorrect. My 7 Plus flies on iOS 10. The fastest phone I ever had. Its only older devices I have an issue with. I am not worried about the 7 Plus slowing down however as I am getting the S8/Note 8 or the OLED iPhone depending on the price

However since my 6 is slow and the 6s is slower than the 7 I believe the poster is correct in his assessment.
Incorrect, it's already been shown 10.3.2b3 has had a good amount of optimization.

Thats not even a thing, its like saying a girl is 60% pregnant :)
I edited my post earlier because I realised that if there's one device which was completely FUBAR it was my iPad Mini. The iPhone 6 isnt that bad (yet)

Yes. It's optimised just for the iPhone 7

I am posting a video of my old iPad I just took to show everyone that great Apple optimisation

Try running a video in the background and its a stutterfest

Stuttering is a feature, it lets Apple make more profits for people like you now think they need to get a new iPhone.

I'm wrong? Then why can't Apple put a switch in preferences to turn off animations? Surely it'd help several million iPhone users in a world of 1 billion iOS users right?

They don't even allow downgrades for users. In my observations they introduce just a requisite amount of stutter so the user feels annoyed but doesn't make the device unusable

My 6s runs like a dream on 10.3.2 beta 3. No stuttering at all. Recently restored and then restored a backup in iTunes to clear it out and it's working just great.

Open the App Store and then the wish list. Then open the app switcher and scroll to your home screen and tap on it. The animation stutters. Even after 3 years scrolling down the list of apps in mobile data and notifications and widgets still stutters.

It's also optimised for the 5s, 6 and 6s as well. My 6s is running very well on it.

And the video proves nothing, much less it's YOUR ipad mini.

This is just more hyperbole/nonsense.

I tried this and no stuttering.

I recently noticed my iPad Air 2 started feeling sluggish, slightly unresponsive on big amazon.com pages, etc. I rebooted, updated to 10.3.1, still no luck, I can't believe Apple is giving it the sluggish treatment so soon, I now need to look for the iPad Pro. So disgusting.

When I got the Air 2, reviewers were describing it as too overpowered and that nothing on the app store comes close to making it break a sweat and it was. Extremely fast and no lags whatsoever. Now performance is average or below average. Its amazing how no app maker could make the user feel the device was inadequate but Apple did. The Amazon app on my Air 2 loads slower than a Galaxy Tab S2 running a Snapdragon 652 and games like real racing 3 and asphalt show frame drops which is insane because the Tab is running on inferior hardware.

If Apple had actually given the new iPad the same display and an A9X processor I would have gladly exchanged but we were given old wine in a new bottle

Indeed. And the previous iPad Air 1 that I had also quickly degraded in snappiness and usability in part fueled by the planned-obsolescent 1GB ram that for example would make tabs reload all day long.

My iPhone 6 is 60% FUBAR. The poster's 6s seems to be joining it

Also thats iPhone 7 Plus. The 7 Plus sgould start slowing down in iOS 12 considering that its got 3 gigs of RAM and should hang on to iOS 11

Do you know what "FUBAR" means?

Saying something is 60% FUBAR is equal to saying a car is 60% totaled or a woman is 60% pregnant...

Tried on my iPad Air 2 and y iPhone 7+ running the latest iOS beta, my wife's iPhone 6+, and my daughter's iPhone 6.

None of the above had an issue with stuttering.

I am sure if you go to Settings>cellular and scroll down you will see some very noticeable stutters. I'd say the scrolling is at about 20fps, that's on an iPhone 6s.
Btw I remember it was the same on iOS 9.
Even the App Store used to slightly stutter on iOS 9 on the 6s but that wasn't very noticeable. On iOS 10.3 however it is very smooth, and frame drops are rare.

My god, how do you ever get anything done with such a crippled device?

The device never lagged on older iOS versions. It started lagging on the newer ones. I see framerate drops on all my older iOS devices when there were none on the version the phone shipped with. I dont have any lags on my 7 but my 6 has framedrops as does my Air 2. So much for APFS storage, my 6 actually slowed down even more when I upgraded to it. If I could I would like to downgrade to iOS 8.I dont use split screen as the screen is too small for it and adblockers arent worth the slowdown.

Just because they dont BOTHER YOU doesnt mean they dont bother me. I dislike any kind of lag.I paid top dollar for the video cards on my laptops on desktops to eliminate lag in games and I would like a similar experience on my iOS devices which isnt there.

Too bad?

I've found the tech enthusiasts nitpicking on frame rate drops to be just as annoying as the gear heads that get rock hard every time they see a lowered car drive by.

"I paid top dollar for an experience that doesn't exist anywhere else on the planet but I assume just because it cost a lot of money when I bought this device a few years ago that everything will be 100% smooth forever."

I'm a tech guy, but man this mentality is annoying as hell.

Allow everyone to downgrade to the OS version of their choice like on Android and everyone is satisfied.

By the way my computer is years old but has no stutter and it has gone from Windows 7 right till Windows 10. So that experience can and does exist on this planet

Not on mobile devices it doesn't.

As to the downgrade, sure, piss away the crystal clear security advantage of iOS as a platform over Android just so the nerds can get their rocks off on the equivalent of technological hypochondria.
