Just the downloading and installing phase of dozen of apps even with 3Mb bandwidth some apps are trouble installing.

Download minimum apps manually singly and just a few.

When talking software, I was referring to iOS on an iPhone 7. And with 10.3, it is better, yes, finally !
Apps from the store were always faster a bit on the i7 vs 6s.
So if you compare iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s, both running the latest iOS 10.3, can you say that the iPhone 7 is now faster in everything?

Obviously. 7 Plus destroys the 6s in speed
No. The iPhone 6s is often faster than the iPhone 7 in lighter tasks because the two low power cores used in such apps are a little slower than the apple A9.
I'm not the only one who noticed this.
Here you can watch this if you want:
I'm wondering if iOS 10.3 is different though.

Phonebuff's comparison shows the iPhone 7 absolutely demolishing the 6s even in lighter tasks

I already said that the iPhone 6s is only a little faster than the iPhone 7 in lighter tasks like social media stuff but phnebuff's test included many heavy tasks like lapse-it and heavy games.

10.3 is actually a big step forward in terms of performance.

iOS 10 performance has always been awful for me on the 6s Plus and iPad Air. Smooth and fast on 9.3.5, but slow and laggy while scrolling on 10. This has never been fixed with any iOS 10 release.

First, 17% faster is not what I would call "absolutely demolishing".
Then... What a bad comparison. They don't even start the apps at the same time, and they take the sum of many operations. Of COURSE the iPhone 7 has better specs, so you'll expect it to be better in average. But it does not give a good overview of how the user is going to experience his phone.

Absolute hyperbole seems fitting.

Ok .. wtf is doing Apple !!! My 6s is even slower on 10.3.1.. c'mon Apple ..
Time to get the iPhone 8. After the 6, now the 6s is next on the chopping block. I wouldnt update the 6S to iOS 11 if I were you. iOS 11 is going to be optimised for only the iPhone 8 which has 3 gigs of RAM so the 6s will struggle on it

Hyperbole. 6s will run all iOS versions fine for the few years, just like my 5s is running iOS 10 fine.

It wont as iOS 11 is optimised for 3 gigs of RAM which means tab reloads and app reloads will increase. It will have more complex animations which will make the 6s stutter and since the poster's 6s is having stutter issues on iOS 10 iOS 11 will only make matters worse.

It will. Same as the 5s is running iOS 10.3.1 just fine. Maybe the posters 6s will have an issue but mine won't.

All 6s have the same hardware as do the 5s. What's different is your definition of "just fine"

My iPhone 6 is already FUBAR. The poster's 6s seems to be joining it

Also thats iPhone 7 Plus. The 7 Plus sgould start slowing down in iOS 12 considering that its got 3 gigs of RAM and should hang on to iOS 11
We know your idevices are essentially unusable. My 5s, 6 and 6s are running fine on 10.3.2. (Fine is the opposite of fubar) I expect the 5s to go the distance.

Incorrect. My 7 Plus flies on iOS 10. The fastest phone I ever had. Its only older devices I have an issue with. I am not worried about the 7 Plus slowing down however as I am getting the S8/Note 8 or the OLED iPhone depending on the price

However since my 6 is slow and the 6s is slower than the 7 I believe the poster is correct in his assessment.

And that is absolute nonsense.
