My Apple TV has shipped

Mine was ordered: Sep 1, 2010 at 11:24 AM PDT

As for my FedEx info, it was picked up from Shenzhen, China @ 3:41AM this morning and is currently idling in Lantau Island, HK. It still has an estimated delivery date of September 30th and is being sent to the Boston, MA area.

The fact that a box can go from China to Boston in 3 days blows my mind. Imagine telling the ancient explorers and sailors that.
 
Mine was finally shipped today also. The email from apple gives an estimated delivery date of Oct 1 while when I go to fedex site it says Oct 5 so I am not sure when to expect it.:confused:
 
Yup me too... saw that delivery was 30th Sept... yay

Now it missed the Fedex cut off by 1 day and have to wait 6 additional days??

Think that the delivery will be more like Oct 1st... hopefully!
 
I guess ill start calling apple stores on wed. I know theyll be unbelievably cryptic. but only chance to get one this week as ordering now will only have me on a list til mid october.
 
Mine's already in Memphis! Wow that was really fast.

Mine just arrived in Memphis TN at 10:57PM local time. Delivery scheduled in Montreal CAnada on the 29th according to FEDEX and 30th according to Apple. Been there done that before, I bet it will be there on the 29th. :D:D
 
Kind of cool to think that all of our apple tv's were on the same plane ride together and pretty soon they will be at our homes! I wonder whose apple tv my apple tv was next to :p
 
Does anyone think or know if they'll be in apple retail stores this week? I pre-ordered mine from amazon, but haven't heard anything on it yet. Ordered it like Sept. 10th. I was debating about it at the time, but figured I'd order there cause free shipping. But if it hasn't shipped yet and its in store first, I'll just pick it up locally and cancel my orders online.

I ordered mine 11:51 AM Sept. 1st

Delivery the 30th then changed to the 29th, then Oct. 5th?

Apparently it missed the first shipment but then again according to fedex tracking, it hasn't been for touched for 12 hours which I really doubt.

Hope I am part of the crowd that gets to enjoy it this weekend :)

Apple Store gives free shipping for any purchase over $50 also. I ordered Sept 9th and mine is prepared for shipment.

Understood but that doesn't answer my question. At the time of ordering it was posted like 2-4 weeks shipping, amazon hadn't listed an estimated date yet obviously cause they didn't have it yet. So I figured instead of missing the first batch, I may have been able to get the first batch to other retail outlet. I guess I'll check with my local apple store tomorrow.

The Apple Store in NYC said that they will have it in stores by "end of September", so they should have in stores this week. I had called to check before realized my order already prepared for shipment.

Thanks :) Yeah it's a shame I haven't heard anything from amazon, but that would be amazing if I could get it this week retail store. I'm doing test rips from my blu-rays to 720p cause the previous apple tv wasn't the best at handling them, way to picky. Been testing on an iphone4 some tonight for it.

Finally shipped but mine also missed the cutoff.

Delivery per the email Oct 4th, per Fedex Oct 5th.

Mine's is now in Mississauga Ontario as 3:20 AM...that was really fast..from China to Toronto in a about day...that should cost Apple a fortune for shipment. It's waiting to be released by the broker. It's gonna be plugged on my TV tomorrow... :cool:

Mine is also sitting in HK on it's way to Baltimore, but my estimated delivery date isn't until Oct 4. :mad:

I was hoping to have it for the weekend.
