Apple's new European hire web page

Apple has added a new web page to its job opportunities sites. This one is a Europe wide page that would seem to be in preparation of not only the many UK coming soon but also new countries to receive their first retail store.

Late 2008 opening for Apple in Greenville, SC. This is confirmed by someone I know working on the project. Other things coming to MPTC include Cheesecake Factory and Ruth's Chris.

Yeah, thats hardly a "confirmed" location. No offense dude, but you've been posting these "confirmed" reports about Haywood Mall for months now with nary a bit of proof. I think you want one there so bad that you let your emotions get the best of you.

I dont care what "some guy" said, its not confirmed. Heck, there have been real confirmed plans on 2 stores in DC from Apple themselves for YEARS & still nothing has developed.

Maybe you should read this then: http://www.ifoapplestore.com/2007/08/29/apple-switches-greenville-locations/

Yay for SC *finally* getting a store.

Boo for it not being in Charleston.

Speaking of, anyone hear anything about a store down here yet? Are they still looking at King Street?

From what I know, Apple is still looking at King Street. I think Charleston will get one within the next year or two. I live in Greenville, so this works out for me. :) I have a friend who is working on the Magnolia Park Town Center project and he went to a meeting a few weeks ago and saw the plans for the Apple Store.

i went in to the smithaven store to bring my brother's ibook in for a new HDD, ne woot he said to bring it in after september 15th because the store iss getting a redesign. What redesign... it just opened? Any info on their being a new store design. Could this be related any chance to the september 5th announcement at all

Thats find, dude. But you didnt say that did you. You said, "Haywood Mall CONFIRMED." Then said, "Well, I dont know that for sure & I have no proof. But, yeah, its coming. Done deal. Some guy I know told me so." (Not in those words, of course). Well, thats not any kind of confirmation now is it.

They decided to change locations. Ok, it's not going to be at Haywood Mall. It will be 5 minutes from it. :p It's sounds like you're just jealous to me, but whatever. :apple:

What kind of stuff is given away at these things, if any, and how many people get something.

Apple confirms Kentucky opening 9/08

Apple has confirmed the opening this Saturday, September 8th, of its first Kentucky store in Louisville's Oxmoor Center. The opening will be at 10:00 am, and the first 1000 people will get a free Apple T-Shirt.

Note: the day and time of the opening has been changed, as you can tell if you look at the page referenced in the link above. The new time is Thursday, Sept. 6th at 6:00 pm.

Two new stores to open this week

Apple has put out its usual last minute notification of two new store openings, one in California and one in Massachusetts, with unusual opening times. The Natick Collection store in the Boston metro area will open Friday, September 7th at 10:00 am, and the Los Gatos store in the San Francisco Bay Area will open Thursday, September 6th at 6:00 pm. Together with the already mentioned Oxmoor store this will bring the number of opening to three this week. All stores will have the usual giveaways.

Yeah, one in South Carolina!!!!

But which is closer Greenville or Charlotte to Charleston.

Guess I better do some digging.

213.21 miles from Greenville to Charleston. 209.16 miles from Charlotte to Charleston. Almost the same distance. :)

Man, we are 100+ away from an Apple Store. The Green Bay, WI or Appleton, WI really need one. It is a prime area for retail as Appleton has the 2nd largest mall in the state. Please Apple??

apple stores

its sad. i'm actually scared to walk into the apple stores now because there is always something i HAVE to have. its one thing to see a commercial...its a whole 'nother ball game to see that shiny new iMac up close and personal.

might not be a bad thing if you live far away from the apple store ^_^

For those who have seen them. Are you liking the new layout and color scheme of the most recent stores? There are more wood cabinets/counters and the walls are what appear to be the same material as the iMacs.

Well, I went to the Madison, WI store last month and I loved the layout personally. :D
