What a weird, weird question?
When I got my new imac a week or two ago it came with ilfe 09. I got mine in chicago, Illinois though. I've heard rumors that the new imac might be released in April and will have a quad core processor, or better. Anyone think this is true.

Oh well, I ordered it once I heard it did
24" 2.8GHz. Also iWork '09 and new Apple in Ears. Cleaned me out.
Anybody who doesn't get a discount (I get Higher Education, not sure if Apple does a Military one?) should always buy refurb unless you're desperate to get something that requires BTO.
They're quite literally as good as new.
Stop trying to plug your thread, we were here first.![]()
That thread were made to avoid these kinda threads. The whole iMac section is full of "When new iMacs come" Will new iMacs have quad-core" etc.

On the first page of 60 threads, there are 5. Which is fair, considering that's the main discussion point amongst people who are looking to buy an iMac, which is a large proportion of the people this section is geared towards. This thread is also the most active one.
All threads are justified and equal
TBH I prefer a few threads rather than one massive sprawling one covering every aspect of the iMac - it actually gets tedious to sift through. Currently I don't see any real issue with the number of threads on this forum covering the iMac release, possible spec and such like - multiple threads make it easy to quickly rule which thread you wish to read updates on and which you don't. I visit this one regularly and also the rather presumptuously titled "Everything We Know...."![]()
Now it's good but few weeks ago there was more than 10. Most of 'em were just own wondering and hoping that it comes soon with their specs.
This is a nice thread though, good talking.
That was posted there almost 2 months ago...
It's not thing that new mini and iMac will use nvidia, you can find that from existing OS X code.
We all know that it'll happen soon
You know how apple have those meetings when they annouce new products? is one coming up soon? or will it just be a random date set for the annoucement?
Right, I just read the front page, and some analyst dude says "oh hi guys, it's alrite, new imackz within a monfthg". How is this good news? I have been waiting since October '08, and my roommates can't possibly hear any more of my moaning about new iMacs. And I know I know, 'they'll be released when they're released', but that doesn't do me any good! Say they're gonna be updated at the end of March (ffs). It'll probably take another month or so before the damned computer actually hit the stores. Apple will probably make a statement saying "oh hi we screwed you guys over, that's why it took so long, g'day".
/rant
I might as well get a Dell. It'll probably be here the day after tomorrow, and it will probably suck monkey balls...
When new models comes they'll ship immidetaly, I can't see why to wait longer.
I would really like to believe you, but the new MBP's also didn't arrive on time. They we're announced on Jan 6th (right?), and the first ones arrived today (Feb 17th), so that's more than a month after they've been announced.
This is going to drive me nutz, its obvious that the mac mini and imacs need new cometics as well as the Nvidia Chips installed. Quad Core's? I dont really care to much about because in all honestly i know I would never tap the full potential of the Quad Core. That being said, i would be super pissed if i bought a current imac just for apple to release a new one with updated interior hardware like a new nividia chip etc... Just like im sure ppl were pissed that bought a white book prior to the nividia, front side bus, intell chip upgrade.
The iMac does not need "new cosmetics". As someone pointed out here previously, if Apple were unhappy with iMac's look why would they make the Unibody Macbooks look the same?
The Mini, on the other hand, needs a complete refresh.
