New iPad launch - April 14th

Yeah, just I don't think some people think it's right to purchase something knowing that you will be returning it.

Though with Costco I've seen some people do crazy returns (like on seasonal stuff).

But if they do carry the Pro where you are, could always buy one and then return in several months if Apple does launch a new one.

I could but being that technically I don't really need it for anything at the moment, since my Air 2 does everything I need other than handwritten notes I will just holdout. I'm hoping for a late summer release so I could get one for back to school. Who knows they could do a wacky May launch, or WWDC, but if not then it'd probably just be in October like normal.

Well you certainly went all out. Did you buy the Pencil or a Smart Keyboard to go along with it?

I really wish Apple would just give us a update to the 12.9 inch pro I feel they may do it with a press reals next week possibly if that is the only model they plan to update and wait for the fall for the 10.5 inch pro

I am not sure, the reason being that Apple is either putting in A10X or A11X processors into the next iPad Pro. If they refresh one model now it would be "dated" when the new 10.5inch releases in the fall. Apple really needs to unify the Pro lineup and make sure they are equal as possible especially in regard to performance. I feel like we are either going to get an April or WWDC unveiling. If it is April, my crystal ball is saying events invites tomorrow with an event next Friday. If not then I would guess possibly a late April event with invites going out sometime next week possibly. If not April then WWDC as Apple has never done May events but lately it seems they are doing alot of things they have never done. Apple is making it very confusing this time to get a feel for when they may refresh the iPad Pro.

We could also see them invite people to a grand opening of apple park possibly and show off the new iPads there we can hope I guess

Crap your right eh yah April is looking to crowded with Easter and other holidays, Im just assuming itll be WWDC now. Lets star a countdown ;) what like 60 days now

It has similar dimensions and similar (perhaps even the same) screen as the Air 1. It's not literally an Air 1. Not even close. Unless we're taking a really high level view, in which case the iPads are all the same in that they're all tablets made by Apple. At a high level that's totally true. You could group an iPad 2017, iPad Pro 9.7, and first generation iPad in one group and screwdrivers of all kinds in another group and say there are iPads and screwdrivers. And iPads are basicallly the same, and screwdrivers are basically the same.

Don't bother. If people are going to be invested in their belief even if it is wrong, then there is no amount of reasoning that will convince them otherwise.

You seem to be leaning toward the new models, in which case you should return your iPad anyway as you'd surely be letdown that you purchased it when the new models could be coming in a few weeks or possibly June WWDC
