There is no release date to begin with, which wouldn't make you right or wrong. What would make you entirely wrong is if April never see's an iPad release at all OR you provided information which was proven false.
Even if you say "The new iPad could release in Fall", it wouldn't make a difference.
None of this matters for reasons already stated, because what you post or what Macrumors indicates in reports doesn't hold weight. Lastly, you don't need to apologize for anything, because you have nothing confirming your claim. If you definitively stated a release date with complete certainty, then you would apologize for making false claims. But as it stands, your predictions are worthless because you lack the credentials to prove your source UNLESS, it turns factual.
Does Macrumors or analysts owe apologies for reporting false rumors? No. point is, your future predictions hold no value, regardless of what your employer indicates. And I mean no Snark behind this, Essentially, this thread means nothing.
Again, if you're correct, so be it. But using rumors, analyst predictions, or prior reports or leaks, are frivolous In terms of Apple's track record.
