I'm looking forward to coming back to this thread once they are announced to see what the doubters have to say then.

I can see their rationale behind having these doubts but ultimately I'm Just trying to do a nice thing here only to be **** on.

And I appreciate it. Little bits of evidence all over the place and it costs nothing to wait and see what happens. Meanwhile posts like your post provide a nice bit to read as we wait to find out with the announcements whenever they happen. And isn't it amazing they can keep a secret this long.

Believe me. I have this thread watched. I will certainly be returning to this thread to verify if your claim is true. For your sake, I hope it is accurate and others do as well regarding the iPad.

Implied threat seems a little bit much don't you think? If someone told me that 'for my sake, I better be right' I'd take it as a threat. I thought rumor and speculation were the main items to be found here. I appreciate the information whether it's correct or not. I understand it's speculation based on incomplete information. I believe I've seen something like this in an article I found from going to google news and putting iPad release date in the search field. And in the end it's all detective work with clues popping up here and there. Good stuff.

I certainly took it as a threat which is what spurred on my response which was to say I dont know why we as people are so hell bent on tearing each other down over pretty much nothing.

At the end of the day whether Im right or wrong no one will think twice about this thread or the release dates is it really worth threatening someone over? have we really sunk that low?

Im pretty sure a threat would violate some sort of fourm rules.

No reason to waste keynote time on what they released a couple weeks ago. I think they are realigning the iPad lineup. Going cheap on 7.9 and 9.7 (iPad) and high priced/more features on 10.5 and 12.9 (iPad Pro). I don't think we will have a 9.7 Pro moving forward.

Agreed. This makes a lot of sense.

Maybe I'm wrong but I seem to remember some "releases" in the last few years were linked (in terms of timing) to the end of the WWDC ticket lottery. (by end I mean news of the confirmation to the winners, not just end of registration timeframe).

So that would make the first working days of next week a perfect match to announce something (event invites, kaby lake Macbook, iPad Pro, etc.).

Yup, the Air 2 is a really nice exprerience right now! The main reason besides the new features for me to get a new version of a product is that it has the potential to last for a long period of time.
What good does "having the potential to last for a long time" do when you are looking to move on from your current device before it has reached that "long time"?

Does it really matter if an iPad lasts 3 years or 6 years if you're going to get rid of it after 2? It certainly isn't going to help resale value because resale values tanked after Apple allowed retailers to have regular sales. But then again I think it is wasteful for an iPad to be built to physically last 10-15 years but is only supported for far less than that.

I so hope this is true. I have a saved bag on apple.com with the 9.7 Pro, Logitech Create keyboard, and Apple Pencil to replace my iPad Air 2 which has a weakening battery.

Neither. I firmly believe that there will NOT be new iPads announced by April 14.

Depends on the user. For me I had my 1st Gen. mini for almost 5 years and then sold it for a decent amount of money. I bet a new Pro model would serve me even longer.

For my iPhones, I only had them for 1-2 years because I always bought them used.

I have come across some credible information which indicates that there will be an iPad launch on April 14th.

Do not ask for my source or any proof I will not divulge that information as it will cause issues for me.

You can choose to believe it or not up to you and ultimately we will find out if its true in a couple of days.
I heard it through my Microwave. Is gotta be true.

I was first very skeptical about this.

But with those new 7,x iPad identifiers, and the opening of the new Apple Park, maybe Apple has something up their sleeve that they want to show off? iPad Pro replacements make sense from a timing stand point, and they can even launch them in gloss black :)

Yess! My guess is:

7,1 iPP 9.7/10.5 Wifi
7,2 iPP 9.7/10.5 Wifi+Cell.
7,3 iPP 12.9 Wifi
7,4 iPP 12.9 Wifi+Cell.

It makes sense that they are coming soon, because why would you create identifiers for products that will be released in the end of the year when we have a completely different iOS version.

I create complex vector illustrations on my Pro, and as a drawing starts to get complex the app starts to slow waaaay down. Some operations literally take like 5 minutes to finish. I need a faster iPad Pro asap.

I'm already planning to buy the new 12.9" iPad Pro, I wanted to skip the 1st gen and get the 2nd.. but boy oh boy, if they bring an iPad Pro in gloss black...................... I'll be off my chair in excitement! Take my money pls!

I'd stick with white. Keeping the black ones in stock for you guys :)

What app?

ArcSite. It's by far the best line drawing and diagramming app ever in existence. The biggest problem with it is a limited color pallet and performance slowdowns after you exceed around 10,000 lines in a drawing. It's not perfect, but damn it's the easiest, most intuitive drawing app ever.

That's a link to it.

EDIT:
It's built to be an architecture drawing tool, but don't let that fool you, it's actually an incredible tool for creating any type of line drawing or diagram.

It's possible when you have in mind the iOS 10.3.1 which is (probably) yet to be released. But why would they update some of their products in end-March and others in early-April, instead of updating everything at once?

Hmm surprised they haven't been featured by Apple certainly looks like a cool app. If your drawing though, wouldn't you be better off with Procreate, Adobe Sketch, or Pixlemator?

No, those are pixel drawing apps. For illustrations, line drawing, and diagramming, you need a vector drawing app.

Gotcha okay then Concepts might work for you

Thanks, I've tried it before. ArcSite is way better.

EDIT:
To be more specific, Concepts has the artistic elements in spades, but it lacks the tools needed for precision drawing, and it's not nearly as intuitive as ArcSite.
