That’s old news. Not saying it isn’t coming out this year. All signs point to yes. But to say invites will be sent next week with no information and basing it solely on code that is news from a week ago is fundamentally flawed. Because with your thinking then invites should have gone out last week when that news broke.

Nobody knows 100% when invites will go out, only Apple know that! We all guessing at this point, going off of past actions from Apple and so on. Apple could send invites out any day now if they want too, or for the first time ever they could wait until November and have the first Apple event in November.

With Tim Cook in Europe next week my guess is the event will be on the 30th, invites go out next Tuesday.

I want to say what I wish would happen, (but if I do I know the universe will meddle and make it not happen, lol.)
With Apple almost seemingly dragging this iPad, iMac, AirPods, and MacBook Air thing out... I am really starting to think 2019 is when the pros are released. Or if they released this year, I feel Apple will pull an iPad Pro 2017 situation and not put in the incredible A12X, and instead throw in the A11X, (it would not be slow by any means but it would be frustrating to have another iPad Pro with last gen tech,)
Then again, if the rumors are true about it getting thinner and smaller, that wouldn’t make sense as IF the iPads are getting thinner and smaller, having a 7nm chip is much more realistic than the 10nm A11.
*end random thought tangent.*

Anyways I’m literally waving the money in my hand waiting to give it to Apple for these supposed new iPad Pros, but I’m getting nervous that we won’t see them this year.

Kallum.
I see you constantly saying 2019 but what makes you think there won’t be an event on the 30th?

Your prediction about the A11X makes no sense to me.. the Pros have always (okay there’s only been two generations but still) launched with an X variant of the current A# processor. The second gen Pro got an A10X because the A11 hadn’t been released yet, and they like to bring those advancements to their flagship iPhone first.

Ok so we will have event on 30th
- According to Mark we will have ipad pro with lightning vs 2 that has usbC capabilities of Gb with slimmer bezels
- new iMacs with better cooling with a slimmer bezels and cut in half chin+8th gen cpu for the 21" and 9th gen for the 27"
radeon inside
-new mac mini
-can be chances for mention about next year mac pro, Apple Display (that can apparently be used wireless with new tech inside in collaboration only with BT5 macs (but with limitations @30hz))

EDIT: the link to BloomB was erased, anyone took a chance to print screen?

New Mac mini hahahaha obviously fake news. Also they aren’t refreshing the 9.7 iPad they already did that this year. The only model iPads being refreshed is the Pro line.

Edit*** My comment about the pro line is related to the statement regarding lightning. It’s either USBC or it isn’t. It won’t be both and they won’t release a model with it and one without it. ***

All this was said in a Bloomberg article that has since been deleted?

i just have this feeling now its gonna be 2019  yes we have had leaks, rumors, speculation but apple has been known to disappoint.

I am assuming you meant Source? - I do not have one - but with the amount of leaks, the iOS 12.1 Fall iPad Code and the fact that the earnings call is November 1st. It's almost a certainty now that it will be October 30th. Invites out next Monday or Tuesday.
Genius. Drier than the Gobi desert.
Worcestershire is a good sauce.

"leaks, rumors, speculation"

The exact reasons we WILL see the event in Fall 2018 (well not so much speculation, but leaks especially)

Where exactly did you read this, haven't seen this posted anywhere else..and who is Mark? Mark Gurman? I see nothing on his twitter feed regarding this

Well there isn’t long until we will know... I can’t see them announcing in November, I think it’s too late for the Christmas rush.

Case makers have leaked its design. Adobe’s conference yesterday has referred to it, iOS 12 betas have multiple references to it. Apple has launched products as late as Dec 15th, iPads as late as November 15th. So I’d say if you hear nothing by November 15th then yeah it’s not coming. But chances are they’re releasing new pros this year.

I agree with you. But where was it mentioned at the Adobe conference yesterday?

I had to re-read it a few times. I think it says:

- According to Mark we will have ipad pro with lightning version 2 that has usbC capabilities of (gigabyte bandwidth? Don’t really know what gb could be but you get the idea) with slimmer bezels

The above post mentioned that the event was scheduled for October 30th, I have not read anywhere about this supposed date being set and that Mark said it

I say it cause if I say it's going to happen in 2018, I'll jinx it. lol. ;)
Am I a nerd for posting such things?... yes, but also as for Apple doing the A11X, they haven't skipped a chip before in an iPad and despite how nice the iPad Pro 2 was, it was still second fiddle to iMac Pro, iPhone, and Apple Watch. I think Apple hasn't promoted or treated their "laptop replacement" properly, I feel they have only put in 75% effort in selling and promoting it and will do so again with the next one. Sure iPhone is what makes the money, but I just think with how Apple is handling the iPad... we'll not get an update as good as we want, (or what would make sense.) Also if this iPad is going to be revolutionary... what can they do for it's 10th anniversary to really get people excited? Because if these current rumors are true, this iPad is essentially what the iPhone X was, so its hard to see them doing doing such a huge re-vamp of the current model this year.
Of course this is all my opinion and probably crazy talk and I'm reading way too far into everything, but Apple has kind of been hit or miss with the iPads these past 5-years. So my expectations for them remain low.

I don't think it'll be October 30th as there's an earnings call a few days after. I can't remember precisely, however I believe there's laws around these things - to do with stock manipulation. There was a similar thing a few years ago maybe when the 2016 MBP's came out.

Apple reported their Q4 2016 earnings on October 25th and held a Special Event two days later on October 27th. Conversely, in 2014 Apple held a Special Event on October 16th then reported Q4 earnings four days later on October 20th.

Quote me on this! Event invitations will go out tomorrow (Wednesday) morning.

The event will be next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Mac, iPad and a reminder to everyone that XR is coming.

I firmly believe this. I can’t see them waiting any longer.

I think Cook will be in Brussels next week, so no event. Thus we won’t see invites this week (they go out one week before the events).

I checked, you're right. For some reason I had this belief in my head - no idea where it's come from then!

Damn really he’s going to Brussels? So when the heck is this event going to be?! :(

So sad Lol.
Our current guesstimate is an October 30th event with invitations by the 23rd. Yes, he’s going to Brussels to deliver a keynote at a conference there, which is taking place at ~10AM ‘Brusseltime’ on the 24th.
