If the XS max 512GB is 1499, how much do you thing the 12.9 inch will run?
How much do you think we can expect to see the new iPads priced at, do you think that they may be priced the same as the current iPad Pro?
The XS is mainly expensive due to its OLED screen. The iPad won’t have that problem. Look at XR pricing as a means of comparisonNow you’ve got me really worried! I’d probably keep my 10.5 rather than upgrade to the new 12.9. Maybe even look at a MacBook.
The iPad won't have the fancy camera most likely either, nor GPS.The XS is mainly expensive due to its OLED screen. The iPad won’t have that problem. Look at XR pricing as a means of comparison
The main reason it's highly expensive is Apple have correctly determined that the market will bear that price, and they love being wildly profitable. The XS is mainly expensive due to its OLED screen. The iPad won’t have that problem. Look at XR pricing as a means of comparison
In thay case we’ve nothing to worry about then because iPad simply doesn’t sell well compared to iPhoneThe main reason it's highly expensive is Apple have correctly determined that the market will bear that price, and they love being wildly profitable.
It's a trap to think retail pricing can reliably be reverse engineered to component and R&D costs. Consumerism is not a rational world!
Surely what's more relevant is how well it sells compared to competitor tablets. I've heard that the apps for them generally suck, but do Android tablets sell well?In thay case we’ve nothing to worry about then because iPad simply doesn’t sell well compared to iPhone
Me thinks:
WiFi 11”
128 GB 849
256 GB 949
512 GB 1149
1 TB 1449
Cellular 11” Additional 150
So 999 to 1599
WiFi 12.9”
128 GB 999
256 GB 1099
512 GB 1299
1 TB 1599
Cellular 12.9” Additional 150
So 1149 to 1749
Plus taxes.
AC+ 199 only.
If the above happens then 2017 Pros won’t get a price cut.
Would hope 12.9 cellular 256GB wouldn’t be more than £1100
Actually no it's £1,049 hereIt currently costs 1100. No way in hell it would be less than 1250.

No reason for them to put a extra 150 on top.
An extra 50? sure.

Everybody has the right to make a wild guess based on their own hunch or not based on anything. I consulted with my crystal ball and it said An iPhone XR costs $750 for 64GB and is 6.1”. The iPad Pro is either 10,5” or 13”. Consequently, the price for a 10.5” 64GB should be at least $1290 (proportional to the bigger screen).I think we’re looking at the Xr price range. Last year the iPhone 8 started at $699, the Xr is starting at $749, so I’d say we can expect the new 10.5 model to start at either $699 or $749. Don’t forget the keyboard and the pencil, though. That edges it close to a real starting price close to $1000.
It has never been the case with iPad Pros that the price is proportional to the iPhone with regard to screen size. If that were the case, then the (current) iPad Pro 12.9 would start at $2,221 because the screen is 2.22 x larger than the iPhone XS and $999 (Xs starting price) x 2.2 = appx $2,220 which would be insanity.Everybody has the right to make a wild guess based on their own hunch or not based on anything. However, I highly recommend the people who compare the iPhone price to the iPad price to join a marketing 101 class to learn about elastic and inelastic demand, price categories, product types and so on.

I would hope you’re correct. But based on past trends I see them increasing the price by at least 100.
