Again, I'm commenting on the generic tariffs and not the deals folk claim to have achieved (although I do wonder how you've managed to get a £70 tariff with £50 upfront fee for £55 with no upfront fee... over 20% discount?).

Either way, I wouldn't see paying an extra £223 over the duration for the privilege of 2GB data per month as a good deal. Of note, everyone else on this tariff will be paying £611 because they won't benefit from whatever it is you claim to have received.

so first you call me stupid and now you call me a liar? Nice.

As an existing EE customer, when you log into the page to upgrade you get a pretty decent discount, I also get an additional 10% because I have multiple lines with EE, I get 10% off each line that's not my main one.

When I got in touch with the upgrades team via chat they offered to waiver the £50 device fee if I paid £62 per month before my discount, which I accepted (I didn't actually see the £59 per month offer with £50 upfront as their site was not working at 8:00am this morning)

For me I wanted the 256GB model so was always going to be higher and I need a good amount of data so £76 a month it is.

Yeah it’s not cheap but it’s something I will use for work and at home and I wanted the bigger screen after having the smaller 10.5

People choose different things to spend their money on at the end of the day. Some spend £400 a month on a car for me tech is my passion and I use it daily

Thats odd, they offer me the 12.9" for £63, not sure why

Just ordered the ipad pro 11 inch from Sky. Though the device cost is higher than apple website, Its monthly cost is quite less compared to other operators

Anyone else ordered via O2?

Find it annoying how they don’t contact you at all until dispatch. Who knows when that might be, could be as late as Tuesday before they get in touch - that’s if they’re telling the truth about launch day availability.

Didn't call you stupid, nor a liar so just take a step back. I still don't understand how you're able to get a deal that I can't get despite being in the same position with EE, but never mind.

As I've stated multiple times to you now, my comments are directed towards the generic tariffs that the majority of people will pay and not these special discounts only available to a select few (although again, I still wouldn't be boasting about paying nearly £10 per month for 2GB data...).

I think O2 is showing delivery in 4 weeks and not on launch day

I ordered an upgrade 64GB 12.9 with the max plan of 20GB- which comes to £63pm.

I am currently paying £70 for my 2nd Gen iPad Pro so I am actually getting it for less.

I use my iPad all the time to stream/watch YouTube and so decent data is needed. 20GB lasts me a couple of weeks normally. When it is out I share my iPhone data (100GB) of it as EE let you do that so I normally end up using around 50GB on my iPad every month.

I also preordered from Apple. I was hoping I would get my EE delivery the same day and just return my Apple order for a refund however it may be that I have to keep that Apple order for a while until the EE order comes; if I reach the 14 days I will have to return it and buy another I guess.

This is despite that fact that Apple are selling the 64GB Cellular at £1,063 with student discount which I used instead of £1,199 full price.

I thought EE were only doing 2GB plans. How’d you get 20gb for the same price?

Just click on show all plans... it is very very easy to miss. It is almost like they were trying to hide it.
The EE site is mental, every time I try to click on the iPad, it takes me to an existing customer offer page, so I can't even see all the plans and availability etc

It is now, but it wasn’t when I ordered just after 8am this morning (64GB space grey 12.9”). It said 7th November.
I ordered a 12.9" 512GB from O2 at 08.02 this morning (after refreshing the site from 7.20 because they've had form for going early on the last couple of iPhones !)
The delivery date was from 7th November. There are NO guarantees, but from my experience over the last 8 years of annual iPhone upgrades with them they have shipped on the date the website says - so Im optimistic for 7th November delivery.
The point about the lack of communication is a very good one. They are woeful at giving anyone hard facts about whether they will receive their device until it ships. Even then that notification can be in the early hours of the launch day.I reckon they are hedging their bets and trying to under promise and over deliver - an approach Apple often uses for its own shipping dates - Its just that they have learnt to communicate better.

Has anyone ordered with SKY?

Their deals seem really good unless I'm missing something. I know their plans go between 36-48 months etc, but I checked a 64gb 10.9" with 1GB of data (it wouldnt be used outside of the house tbh) and it was £26 month.

I don't swap my iPad's for years at a time so (not like phones) so wondering if that's worth it.

Seems like a good price to me?

Their device costs are inflated by 6-8% so it’s not strictly interest free - but it’s very low over the 36-48 month credit agreements. Plus I’m sure it states that the mobile agreement is a minimum of 12 months (so the lowest being £6pm).

But if you don’t want the cellular version you’d be better off (financially anyway) getting an interest free deal if you can.

Low monthly prices are the best out there though - just make sure if you do go with them you check the market value of the device before swapping it with them - chances are it’ll be worth more than the remaining finance.

Also, £55 Quidco available which helps.

Yes. i have ordered from SKY. Even though the total device cost is a bit higher than the price in apple stores, the monthly payment is quite low compared to other carriers.
They are quoting 7th November delivery. Fingers crossed.

Yeah I got an email shortly after ordering saying it will be delivered by courier on the 7th.
But I’m in no rush for it. If it’s delayed then so be it. :)

Still got no date for mine to arrive from EE

The ordered at 9.20am on launch day so EE must have low stock for the 12.9 256GB model.

Still nothing from O2. Ordered about 8.30am on pre-order morning (they opened at 8) as the process took a while. It’s a new connection and I got my credit agreement emails, and the delivery date they quoted when I started the order was this Wednesday.

Their system is annoying, only emailing you when they dispatch to tell you a delivery date. I wonder when they would dispatch it, if it is arriving Wednesday?

Also can’t get hold of a Keyboard Folio yet as Apple’s dates are 3 weeks out, so am hoping I can get one from a store or somewhere like John Lewis.

The stress of Apple launches!

The first you hear from O2 could be as late as an email with despatch confirmation in the early hours of the 7th based on personal past experience. Keep your fingers crossed.

I spend over £260 per month with EE over 3 lines and all my iTunes purchases are billed to my EE account also. When you spend that much with them they will do (almost) anything to keep you as a customer. Just threaten to leave and get put through to Retentions thats when the deals unlock :D

I ordered (64GB Space Grey) through o2 around 9.15am on the day the pre orders went live and it showed 4 weeks for me.

I'm an existing o2 customer so the 20% discount that was suggested online was tempting for me.

Has anyone had experience with o2 displaying a long wait time but it ends up being sent out a lot earlier? I'd be surprised that their stock would be that low?
